The food was ok but just not great, especially for the price. My husband ordered the tuna hibachi and it was overcooked. The vegetables were nice and crisp. I had hibachi chicken, which was fine but mediocre; something I could easily have made for a fraction of the price. We ordered drinks for St Patti’s day, which were good but didn’t seem to have the alcohol we paid for; very weak. The waitress was pleasant but very unatentive, she spent a lot of time socializing and left us for long periods of time. The atmosphere is nice and the place seemed clean.

We visited the one in Crowley first and liked it then waited for the Eunice location to open. We were not disappointed. We visited today (a Sunday around 11:30 am). The atmosphere is welcoming and casual with a simple and tasteful design. We were seated and served promptly. Alexis was our server. She was professional and friendly, checking on us frequently but not hovering, which we really appreciated. The food was piping hot when it was brought out. My husband ordered the steak hibachi. He thoroughly enjoyed the soup. I enjoyed his salad. I ordered the chicken fried rice. Both were very fresh and delicious. The large portions allowed us to bring home leftovers. I would highly recommend trying Tokyo Japan. We will definitely be returning.

I don’t even know where to begin! When Tokyo opened the new location in Eunice, we ate there 8 times in the first two weeks. We just can’t get enough! We enjoy ordering lots of different appetizers for the table (try the gyoza, eggplant miso, or the crab bombs). The sushi rolls are amazing! My husband loves the spicy shrimp ramen, and not just because it does a great job opening up his sinuses. The house soup is ALWAYS a favorite 😉 Great drinks (plum wine and sake) and great service! We are so grateful to have this new restaurant in Eunice!

A friend and I arrived at 11:00 and ordered our food around 11:15. We recieved our appetizers in a decent amount of time, but waited nearly an hour for our 5 regular (no fried ingredients) sushi. We were never checked on after this order by any staff. We were not told this upon arrival either that they had issues in the kitchen. I went to the register and was informed that there was only 1 sushi chef there, who was cleaning a counter when I saw him. This usually would be a good enough explanation for me, but a couple who arrived after us had gotten their food, paid, and left before I went to ask for ours. So much wasted time.

The food is over priced becauseit’sjust horrible. I ordered the seafood noodles and 2 different ramen bowls.. all of it was bland, over cook, just horrible. Will not go back… don’t know if this restaurant will make it for long unless they hired someone that can cook. It does look good, to bad it doesn’t taste as good as it looks. I spend right over $87.. horrible

This is a solid sushi place. I think the early negative reviews have more to do with the difficulty training opening staff than whether or not you’d enjoy dining there currently It went from being the kinda place where your server said, “IDK I don’t eat raw fish that’s nasty” to the kinda place where they say, “would you like to get the LA Roll with Avocado inside again” and you’re like I can’t believe she remembered that. It’s not cheap but what decent sushi is? The food is good, they have plenty of stuff for non-sushi eaters, add the stuff is really accommodating. Last time I ordered sake there and wondered out loud “what would this be like muddled with fresh fruit?” my server brought out fresh pineapple, mango, cherries, oranges, and literally every fruit plus a legit bartending pestle and was like “what do you want in it?” I never write reviews, but this place deserves a good one.

If you’re looking for great sushi and hibachi Tokyo in Eunice is the place to go, great atmosphere and staff. The bar area is very nice and spacious. Plenty of room to enjoy your meal while catching a game or just relaxing.

I have been waiting for Tokyo to open in Eunice for seven years now (since opening in Crowley). I have been more times than I care to admit (I may genuinely have an addiction), and they do not disappoint!!! I think they have the best specialty rolls in the entire Acadiana area and the Tuna Tataki is phenomenal! If you go ask for Gavin or Hayden and be sure to tell Wilfred I sent you! Oh, I suggest ordering the Plum Sake! 🙂
