I used to love this place – gf fried fish tacos and a bunch of other no gluten options, all labeled, was a huge plus. I would even pay a delivery fee since they aren’t included in the Uber Eats pass – that’s how worth it I thought it was, despite being super pricey for Mexican. However, lately, they have been hugely disappointing. They barely give any cheese on almost all of their items – sometimes they seem to forget it at all – and you can’t put in any order notes or request extra. This is a GF quesadilla I got without any other fillings just to test it out to see if they would give a normal amount if nothing else was in it. Seriously, a joke, and $15! I also have noticed a lot of it arrives cold now and is always dry. Really sad. Probably won’t be wasting my money here again.

Came here to grab some tacos with a vegan friend. There were a lot of available vegan options that my friend appreciated and they seemed to like the food. The environment is nice and modern gives off hipster Mexican food vibes. But that’s where the positives end for me.

Awesome taco Tuesday deals. These days it’s hard to find deals but they have $2 and $4 tacos. They are small street taco size but tasted good and I had 2 options as a vegetarian! Food is ordered at the counter in the back and they bring it to your table. Don’t forget to ask for a receipt if you need one as they don’t print them automatically. Water was available next to the bar from a machine (self pour). Good quality food.

I have given this Tocaya 2 tries and have experienced problems both times. The first time we dealt with missing ingredients and an incorrect order. The second time my order was completely overlooked for 40 minutes as customers who came in after me were being served. Both times, however, management handled the situations well and compensated for the errors. In the end, I found my meals to be delicious (just a little spoiled by my irritation). It’s not my favorite Tocaya, but you can expect good food here, so long as you get what you order when you order it.
