I usually love Timmy T’s but lately they have been so skimpy on the meat that I’ve started adding extra meat. Today I paid $14 for a turkey sandwich with extra turkey and it had 2 pieces of turkey on it. Unacceptable and annoying.

We were a party of 5. Ordered 5 sandwiches, drinks and cookies. I forgot to ask for cucumbers on my 3 yo daughter’s sandwich. Once we started eating, I came back to the counter and asked them for a few slices of cucumbers to add to the sandwich. They said they couldn’t give them to me. I said I’ll buy them, and they still said no. How is this place still in business with their customer service?! Should have gotten back and taken the tip back that we left for them when we ordered. Word of advice, don’t tip them till after you eat your meal

I ordered 2 sandwiches online for pick up at this location in Kailua. 45 mins after placing my order I arrive to pay at the register. After several minutes of employees trying to figure out where my order was, I get asked “are you sure you ordered it to this location there’s two?!” I showed them the receipt details but it was still a mystery to them how my order was never made. At the end of the day, when we got to the beach my order was still wrong. No apologies and lack of attentiveness to the order. Straight up dookie.

If you are from the mainland and have ever visited the sandwich shop called Jimmy Johns then you have found the Hawaiian equivalent. Though Timmy T’s is not a chain restaurant it offers the same expeditious sandwich making as Jimmy Johns. The restaurant offers both typical sandwich options along with local favorites. Customer service is quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. The interior is full of local pictures, paintings, and funny real life innuendo posters. Prices are very affordable and definitely worth it due to the taste of the food. They do not have a fountain drink machine so you will have to buy a canned/bottled beverage if you plan on drinking something with your meal. They over cookies and/or chips to compliment your meal. This place does have picnic tables for outdoor dining. Four stars because parking is a HEADACHE. If you can walk to this place it would be more worth it because the parking is little to non-existent.

Timmy T’s has always had great sandwiches & I was super excited to order a platter for a party I was throwing! It’s just a shame their customer service doesn’t match up. I called on Wednesday to discuss the platter options & was told they offer 15 piece or 30 piece trays, the pieces being HALF the size of a regular sandwich. Thinking I would be receiving HALF sandwiches, the 15 piece tray sounded like the perfect amount. I was quite disappointed to realize after picking up that they were very clearly cut in THIRDS, and arranged very sadly on a large tray with a completely empty center. When I called to very calmly & politely discuss my disappointment with the manager, Chris, I was told they have always cut the sandwiches in thirds and that due to numerous new hires I was given the WRONG information earlier in the week. Now I was completely understanding of this– I have worked in fast food & customer service for years & know new employees make mistakes, I totally get it! That’s when Chris became rude. He asked condescendingly asked “well what would you have done differently if you knew they would have been cut in thirds?”. I said “Well I would have ordered more food! I have much less than I was expecting for this party.” I asked if there was anyway I could be provided a few extra sandwiches to rectify the situation, and was told I would have to pay full price for their mistake. Then Chris hung up on me. I was completely calm & simply wanted to provide my feedback about how being given incorrect info left me short on food for this party. Clearly they don’t care about customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward– what a disappointment!
