The Hicks family
My hubby got a cheese hamburger, very fresh and good. I got their signature, shrimp and grits. That were amazing. I can honestly say is the best grits I’ve ever had. Large bowl can be shared!

Love the atmosphere. I had The Doors burger. It has spinach, avocado, bacon, and my choice of cheese and of course dressed if you want it like that.

This was like having breakfast at your grandma’s house. Cozy, quaint and they make you feel at home. The owners sing along to the radio as they prepare your breakfast but it’s not an annoying singalong as they can carry a tune quite well. Delicious breakfast with large portions. We’d definitely recommend this to place anyone needing a hearty meal to start their day.

Very welcoming Ma & Pop cabin, that’s right in the middle of the Arts & Crafts community. The inside isn’t very big, and there’s not a lot of tables, but there’s outside seating as well. I tried the Doors burger today, that comes with your choice of toppings, plus bacon and avocado. You also get a side, and I tried out the potato salad. Everything tasted delicious! Their prices are about what you’d expect from this area, but I was so impressed with the food and they’re singing, I’ll probably be back. Check their hours before going, because I think they close at 3pm, most days.

Best grits I ever ate. Biscuits and gravy sausage and 3 eggs and slice of toast with strawberry jam. Wash it down with glass of milk first and glass of water the second. Can’t find a better breakfast anywhere better than this. Everyone working including the owners make you feel right at home. Love this place and the people there

Timbers Log Cabin Restaurant was the perfect southern experience. Staff was friendly, food was great, and the cabin itself was charming. We ordered the Biscuits and gravy and the French toast breakfast, both with the Timber’s bacon. Particularly the bacon, I’m not sure what they do to it (maybe brown sugar?), but it was fantastic. I think before a day of hiking next time we would order something more balanced but we didn’t have any complaints. The inside of the cabin is FILLED with little drawings from kids who have visited so that was neat to look at while we waited for our food. Definitely will be back when we come to Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains again!

This place is a perfect little gem away from the busy strip. The atmosphere is positive and happy, very small mom and pop. The biscuits and gravy were great and the cheesy grits bowl was tasty. There’s not a lot of indoor seating with maybe 5 tables, but there’s additional seating outside. 5 out of 5 would recommend!

Very nice little place in “The Glades” area. Only open Thur. thru Sun. but if you catch them you’ll be pleased. They only serve breakfast and lunch. Portions are large and prices good. The people enjoy what they are doing and they love their customers! Bring a large appetite but if your appetite is small they do have side orders. Hint, try their 3 cheese grits!
