Tiba has been a neighborhood favorite for years. The food is delicious. My mainstay is the combination platter, which at $20 is dinner for two with leftovers. They do an excellent job of making yummy food for different dietary restrictions; not a lot of places can feed my friend group with some gluten-free, some vegan, and some omnivores as well as Tiba does. The owner often works the front herself and is exceptionally sweet. I’ve always experienced the location as friendly (rather than merely tolerant) toward queer and trans people.

The food bowls are absolutely amazing. This is some of the best food I’ve had in a while, and I don’t just want to limit it to a category. Please do yourself a favor and get a bowl with an amazing mixture of flavors and textures.

Hidden gem on Lawrence. You’ won’t notice it if you’re not looking for it, and the current street construction doesn’t help. The food is delicious and a big portion. One of the best shawarma and gyros I’ve had. Owners/staff are very friendly and helpful. They get a lot of to go orders, not many dine in orders.

This used to be my favorite neighborhood spot before it was bought out by the new owners

This is my first time trying their food and I must admit it is really good. However, the reasoning for the 1star provided was the customer service. When I first entered the restaurant there was a couple in front of me ordering and I didn’t expect to be served immediately, that would be rude to the customers. There were 2 workers in the back, 1 male and 1 woman. The male made a comment about my appearance and the woman laughed. The woman then proceeded to give me my food. I will not be back and would not recommend African Americans to support this business.

Legitimately a phenomenal restaurant. I devoured their hummus and their rice was cooked to perfection. Even though I’m stuffed right now, I’m already looking forward to going back!

Tiba is under new ownership as of a few months ago, and it REALLY shows. They’ve completely renovated the interior, their website is very well done – and best of all, the food is delicious and the service is great. I’m already planning on how many times I’m going to come back with my family. I really wish the new owners the best and thank them for a great dinner!

This used to be my favorite place for Mediterranean but in the last few months it just hasn’t lived up. They changed the menu and things just aren’t as good, plus it’s more expensive! The lentil soup is very thin and has like canned mushrooms in it? The chicken shawarma plate had everything plopped into a bowl, when it used to be separate- having to dig through hummus to even get to the rice and chicken. Used to have grape leaves and makdoos, no longer. Big bummer.
