This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We ordered fries and a few drinks. The guy working the register barely acknowledged us and rarely made eye contact. He acted like he hated his job, and we were inconveniencing him. When I asked for a receipt, he did not acknowledge and walked away to get our drinks. When he returned, he just gave the drinks and moved on to something else. Don’t waste your time here. The food is not worth the terrible service.

I grew up in Ocean City Maryland. I’ve eaten thrashers french fries my entire life. I eat an entire large by myself and get another one for the family, That is up until till a couple years ago. My review would’ve been a five star as they were the greatest french fries I have ever eaten in my life. They were so good they were an addiction. however, perhaps in an effort to save money, It is now common for thrashers workers to fry the fries ahead of time, let them sit, and then dump them back into the fryer to heat them up. When they do this, they are way over cooked and taste terrible. this process takes the greatest fry in the entire world And makes it barely edible. Why spend the money on getting fresh Idaho potatoes delivered in the morning and thrashed them and go through all that hassle only to have them ruined by the double frying method. If I could give a double fried thrasher french fry at a lower rating than a one star I would. For the price I’m paying to get a large bucket of fries there I have to no longer eat one of the worst french fries I have had. unfortunately, this beautiful tradition is over. I just can’t risk it anymore. I have gone from being in love with this company to cursing their name. If anyone wants to try them, I recommend going to the busiest location at the pier and make sure there is a long line of people ahead of you so that it forces them to only fry them once and ensure they are fresh. If you do, you will enjoy one of the greatest fries in the entire world. I have also posted this review to the thrasher website in hopes of driving change and restoring this beautiful product to its former glory.

These were a first for me, they were super simple and crunchy. Glad they don’t serve ketchup so you can actually enjoy the flavor.

A beach visit staple. Always good and hit. But no more old bay? I recall getting little cups of old bay to dip the fries in. Will be back year after year regardless!

Hands down, definitely the best fries in town! Whether you favor salt or vinegar, there’s nothing like ‘em. Just don’t expect to put ketchup on them bc that’s a definite no-no. Thrashers does not give out ketchup. Fortunately you don’t need it. They’re absolutely delicious just as they are, and always fresh out of the fryer. But keep in mind that they are cooked in peanut oil for anyone who might have a peanut allergy.

Had my first fries for 2023. Very disappointed…they were “mushy”.more like a baked potato.

Great fries!! Couldn’t find ketchup, though but not sure if that was a fluke. The large fries is great for sharing and it is pretty greasy food but what do you expect from fries. I usually feel crappy after I eat oily foods but I felt fine after eating a ton of these fries with a burger from next door. Maybe they use good oil??

Every bit as good as I remember them being as a kid on the boardwalk in Ocean City MD in the 70s. A lot of places make fries in peanut oil, but only Thrashers seems to get it right. They fry it a little longer to get the perfect crisp. When you undercook them, they just become a wet soggy mess. (Looking at you, 5 Guys.). Also, the price is fairly reasonable. $5 for a (small) cup of perfect fries is a pretty good deal in my boom.

Thrashers was the first place I ever tasted fries cook in peanut oil and still the only one that gets it right. If you grew up in Rehoboth or Ocean City, MD this is a great nostalgic treat that never gets old. If you love fries, this is your must must stop in Rehoboth.
