Food was absolutely delish, as were the drinks. Our server was friendly. We’ve been there several times, people restaurant is always clean and welcoming. This particular trip, for the first time, there was a musician. We go out a lot to hear local music. This guy was very good. But way too loud. We really couldn’t have a conversation with the people we met. But food, atmosphere, and service were excellent. Keep the music, just not so loud.

If you have sensory issues this is not the place for you! the chairs are metal and the ceilings are high, it is extremely loud. I could not hear my partner from across the table. The food is great and so was the service, it’s a bit pricey but worth it. If you have sensory issues i recommend sitting outside or in a corner to cut down on the overwhelming noise.

We were big fans of Ramiro’s and sad to see it go. Excited to visit Yellow Cactus and size it up. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. I understand the difficulties restaurants face with rising prices, but the food quality to value ratio is out of whack at Yellow Cactus. Nothing here is bad, but better value can be found elsewhere. We did get to sit at one of the coveted patio tables on this visit which was a plus.

In a city that has a Mexican restaurant in every corner The Yellow Cactus has gotten to be our favorite. I have my favorites (El Patron Burrito) but we eat there enough that I try new things as well. The staff is friendly. The only issue we have at all is that when cleaning tables they use a super pungent disinfectant that overpowers the taste of the food.

This place was great . . . Mostly!!we sat at the bar; the food was great, service was great, drinks were great! The problem was that at 7:45 pm a strong chemical smell permeated the entire bar, where we were sitting. We asked the bartender about it who told us she had done it intentionally to hide another smell coming from the kitchen. It was quite nauseating and totally ruined the entire experience. This was too bad because otherwise I would enjoyed our night there.
