Love this spot. Fresh. Full of flavor. Superb service. Stellar Happy Hour (4-6pm with $10 pastas and a variety of drinks, snacks, etc.). Recommend reservations for dinner and weekends can become busy but they have ample space inside and out back. Love the outdoor space, particularly in the cooler evenings of Spring or Fall. Grabbing dinner at the bar rocks too, my choice when solo and trying to catch happy hour if busy.

I have been here multiple times for lunch, dinner, and their happy hour special. Every visit has been delicious and I really appreciate the constant rotation to the menu based on what is in season. They have both inside and outdoor dining options and their back patio area is very cute and perfect for a private event. I especially enjoy going to their happy hour and on my most recent visit I had the arrabiata pasta and roasted broccoli. Their portion sizes are also very reasonable.

Stopped in for their happy hour. They were mostly booked for the night but squeezed us in. The specials for happy hour were delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress (and the hostess) were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back!

Yesterday was my first time visiting The White Bull and I enjoyed everything about my visit! The staff was welcoming as soon as you enter and our server Bri made sure we were well taken care of. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and pointed us in the direction of some great recommendations. The space is cozy and inviting which was perfect for the rainy evening. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to return!

Atmosphere was really nice and cozy! Our server was sweet and the drinks were delicious, only complaint is the pasta was really salty. I normally don’t mind a little extra salt in my food but it was pretty heavy. Other than that pretty good!

Absolutely wonderful. Wife and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary tonight. We had crispy potatoes, squid ink pasta, wild boar osso buco and sweet potato/pecan pie for dessert. Everything was great. Loved sitting out in the back patio. Our waiter (can’t remember his name!) was attentive, upbeat and pleasant. I tried the Pilsner (their own) and while I typically stay away from floral beers, it was pleasantly good. We got to meet the owner and he gave us something to take home which was so unexpected and generous. We were floored. On the way out, the hostess remembered it was our anniversary! What a great place!!!

4.2 | I love the White Bull. I believe I’ve been here about five times now. I love their seasonal options for entrees as well as pastas. I think some folks are more critical because it doesn’t fall into the category of “traditional Italian,” which sometimes feels quite oddly American. The options here feel really fresh, and unique. I had the gnocchi this last time, and I enjoyed it much. Although I’m not a fan of green peas, I found the sprouts, mushroom, and pork sauce. I also had their bread and butter, a staple and a must. their drink selections are always superb and their wine pairing was perfect. I got the ricotta cheesecake for dessert and it is a beautiful balance of sweet and savory. recommend!

White Bull is one of my favorite farm to table Italian restaurants. We have been going here for Valentines every year since we moved to Decatur. We always do the Chef’s tasting menu. Our first year they featured a vegetarian menu, which wasn’t my husbands favorite. This year (2022) it was not vegetarian, and we loved every bite. We even splurged for the wine pairing and it was delightful!

We came around 4 on a Saturday 3/20 and we agree with some of the complaints about communication between host and wait staff. The hosts acted like we had interrupted their day and didn’t even offer us the proper menus. First impression is important!
