This was my second time being here for breakfast. The chicken fried steak and gravy is excellent. I travel for business often and have eaten in restaurants that are supposedly “top quality” and their breakfast didn’t compare to this and they charged 40% more. Luckily I only live 15min away and will be able to visit often. Cathy is great to talk to and really cares about the quality and service. Great quality food, priced right. Thank you Cathy! Can’t wait to try the prime rib that I’ve heard is excellent. As a disclaimer, I am not related to the owner nor have I ever spoken to her outside of the restaurant. Lol They just deserve a great review.

I cannot express how much if a hidden jewel this amazing place is. The menu had great options for all. The staff was top notch and Cathy who I am pretty sure is the proprietor of the place was a pleasure to interact with and made me and my children feel like it wasn’t our first time there but instead our normal Sunday tradition we had been doing for years. I live in Vancouver and it is a bit of a drive so beyond worth it. I added a photo of the meatloaf I recieved and I had to take a picture of it. I never take photos of my food. I even go as far as to give friends a hard time when they do. This place made me so happy I took a food photo. I think that is all I can think to say. If you read this far just go in and see then you can just give a review that says damn Matt was correct.

Clean, airy place. Delicious! Made with good ingredients. Clam chowder is excellent with fresh clam and bacon pieces in every bite. Veggie omelet packed with fresh sauted vegetables, sausage gravy is seasoned perfectly with sausage throughout. excellent quality for a good price. Cathy the owner is an excellent cook with tried and true recipes. She knows good food! Will definitely go back!

My husband and I had breakfast at the Whistle Stop Restaurant. Everything was great! I had the veggie omelette which had fresh ingredients such as mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc. It was delicious. It was very clean and the owner was very friendly. Try out this restaurant in Yacolt

The Whistle Stop is a fantastic place to go get a delicious breakfast with your family. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the bottom of my coffee cup.

It was okay. Tasted pretty good although my bacon was forgotten but not charged for. Should be careful about chose of words in the back when you say them loud enough for kids to hear.

We arrived to the warmest of welcomes, We each ordered a different lunch item, I ordered The Railcar Chicken Sandwich with fries both delicious. My husband ordered The Tanker Pattie Melt and also enjoyed very much said next time probably would order sauce on the side but also delicious. The prices are in line with most of the lunche venues we visit, but the friendly staff and excellent service has made it one of our favorite places to go. Well worth the drive for us as we live in West Vancouver.
