A nice local tavern. Service was good. She brought out the wrong drink but fixed it when asked. Food was fine. The pasta dish was supposed to be in a white wine sauce, but came out in red tomato-based sauce. We didn’t opt to try to address the issue since we were on a timeline. The fish and chips was ok- two smaller pieces of fish, and not as buttery or flaky as I would normally expect. But not bad. The burger patty was on the thinner side and had a pool of grease sitting in the middle, but my 5 year old gobbled it up. Atmosphere was quiet and clean.

This place is def pub vibe. I was sticking to the floor getting to a bar stool. The bartender was nice.

Excellent location and the food quality matches it. The chowder fries definitely stand out and are a must-try here. We ordered the pastrami with side caesar. The sandwich was light and delicious without any unnecessary extra condiments. The side salad was fresh and light easily going together with the sandwich. Definitely recommend!!

This place is a gem!! Jack, our waiter was absolutely amazing, food could not have been better, 5 stars all the way! If I could give 10 stars I would! The swordfish was one of the best entrees my husband has ever had and the Philly cheese steak was hands down the best I have ever had. I am not sure what they do to their fries, but it is magical, lol!!! Drinks don’t disappoint on any level. Atmosphere is beautiful, old decor, old exposed beams and lantern lights, and it is a jaws fan dream come true with all the memorabilia! This is a MUST SEE on your itinerary through Martha’s Vinyard!

We left Oak Bluffs due to a power outage and went to Edgartown by bus. We looked for a well-rated place that wasn’t on the main drag and found the Wharf. We arrived at around noon and got there at the right time. The crowds started to arrive soon thereafter. Rain had arrived which probably slowed the crowds.

A little confusing at first but once someone greeted us we were seated immediately. Food was pretty good. Drinks were okay. Service was marginal but sufficient. Overall not a home run but our expectation was Tavern / Bar so it certainly met that level. It was also very convenient to the Vineyard Square hotel.

Good service. Cocktails: don’t get the Paloma. No where near a Paloma cocktail. Perhaps the bartender was training, I’m not sure. But don’t waste your money on that. Get the frozen cocktails, you can’t go wrong if it’s already all premixed, can’t mess that one up. We ordered the salad and it was good. I asked for extra vinaigrette because they don’t put much on it. Also we ordered lobster and it was good. We also ordered the cod. It was plentiful and good as well. Very casual place. Nothing fancy at all. Very warm and welcoming. Management could step it up with cleanliness however. There was no soap in the men’s bathroom. That to me is inexcusable because the workers aren’t washing their hands with soap! That to me is pretty gross! And a reflection on the management team.

I got the steak, and ordered medium but the middle came out raw, not cooked through. The food was otherwise good. Our waitress seemed out of it and kind of spacey. There’s was some other flaws such as we asked for butter and they brought it out as melted butter, we had to remind her of our appitzers that we ordered when they didn’t coke out and she forgot the drinks we ordered.. otherwise the food that good, but would like to see more variety within the menu.

Our server was very nice, but the service was very slow. The food was just ok. We come here every year, looking forward to the stuffed Quahog appetizer. It was gone from what appeared a greatly diminished menu. $100 including a 10% tip (for the slow service) for two without alcoholic beverages seemed high. I don’t know if these issues are particular to this restaurant or common to all restaurants these days, especially here on the Vineyard.

I wanted so badly to give 2 stars because the service from our waiter was that horrible. She was incredibly rude, got some of the order incorrect but was completely unapproachable so it wasn’t worth even telling her. The food however was pretty good! Enjoyed the lobster roll & the Parmesan Truffle fries.
