(ZERO STARS: FLY IN MY FOOD!!) Came here for my father’s birthday on July 26th 2023. We had a reservation for 7pm, walking in about 5 minutes early. We waited 2 hours for our food on a Wednesday, the restaurant was nearly empty. They gave us sides that weren’t listed on the menu with their entrees. It was as though they did not think we would notice or had read the descriptions. When we asked about those sides, that was when she finally informed us that they had run out of almost everything. Clearly they were hoping we wouldn’t notice that nothing on our plate was to the menu’s specifications. Nonetheless, we started to eat as we were very hungry. My grandmother quickly realized her steak was prepared rare when she had ordered well done. However, she decided not to send it back because we did not want to wait. Our waitress did not ask us one time to see how our food was. It wasn’t until I found a literal fly in my food that she came back to recite a near non-existent apology (terrible service). She did not even take the plate (the one with the fly in it) out from in front of me until I asked her to. They were NOT apologetic, and only offered us free desserts. Who would want free desserts from a restaurant that gave me a fly in my food? We declined the offer, deciding to leave instead. The owner of Vintage Press refused to speak with us. We drove over an hour to come to this restaurant. Moral of the story: DO NOT come here. Take your money elsewhere and don’t look back! Unless you want poor service and chicken with a side of flies. Disgusting.

Absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant. Had a wonderful fine dining experience. We were here for our anniversary, and so glad we chose this restaurant. The Harris Ranch filet was delicious. Along with wonderful service. Also loved the mocktail options. We had Dustin as our waiter & he was great! We can’t wait to come back again.

The Estupida
The server was so nice and welcoming! We tried the poblano duxelle was really good and not spicy at all. I got a Cobb salad which was super refreshing and flavorful. The server brought out a candle for my birthday and I also had the tart for desert. Best meal of my life!

In town for the weekend from northern California, I was excited to revisit one of my favorite places in Visalia. Today’s experience made me wonder if I will ever return to Vintage Press. Our party of 4 arrived at our reservation time for Sunday brunch. We were the only ones waiting to be seated, and 20 minutes later were finally taken to our table. We sat down, submitted a order for mimosas, then waited, and waited, and waited. Nearly 30 minutes later the mimosa’s finally arrived. At this point nearly an hour in, it was obvious that if we stayed the service would continue to take quite some time, so we decided to ask for the check and move on to another restaurant. The waitress came back and dropped the check on the table without saying a word, then walked away. Not a hint of explanation as to why the long delays, etc. The restaurant was not overly busy as far as we could tell. Our experience was made worse by the hostess and wait staff who did not seem to understand basic customer service and at least inform us as to what was happening, that there could be a long delay, etc. I hope the management staff is able to offer training to their employees in this area. Until then, I will not be back.

I ordered the pistachio crusted salmon , mushroom puff pastry , and the meatloaf . The meatloaf was under seasoned and everything was cooked perfectly tho. The presentation was perfect as well . The service was attentive and friendly . Francesca was my server . She’s amazing and so was the hostess . I live the ambience of the room for the bar !
