1st, I really used to like Village Grill. I know they had some struggles but I never had a bad meal there. So we went to the renewed place. The renovations are nice enough but it was less than half full on a Saturday night. Our burger was pretty good but the burger itself seemed small in proportion to the bun. Tasty, though. The waffle fries were very good. But we ordered a Caesar salad and it was a wilted, overdressed mess. They came to ask us how our food was and we said that the salad was wilted and soggy. They asked if we wanted a new salad, with dressing on the side and we accepted the offer. They then brought us a plate of wilted lettuce with the dressing on the side. We took a couple bites but the lettuce was just bad, like tired old bagged lettuce. The manager who had initially exchanged the salad for us did not come back to ask us if it’s better, and when the server returned and asked us how our meal was and if we wanted a box for the uneaten salad, we told her the lettuce was wilted. She did not remove the salad from our bill or sugggest any remedy. In that one meal they got a second and third chance.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Village Grill after its much-anticipated renovation and was pleasantly surprised by the new ambiance and menu offerings. The restaurant has clearly undergone a significant transformation, both in terms of its physical space and culinary option! The updated interior design is modern and welcoming, creating a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. The ambiance strikes a balance between casual and upscale, making it suitable for various occasions, from casual lunches to special celebrations.

This Village Grill had a renewed vibe, great menu, and better management. Lorraine is very diligent in seeing the services and orders excellent. The staff are amazingly friendly and makes the place a better venue to hang out and have pleasant time with family and friends. The food is presentable, really good tasting, and big serving. My family had our dinner here recently and I’m full to the brim. Superlicious and amazing. We got a great time and a 5-star experience at Village Grill.

Is my first time in this place, that my family choose this place to eat an eastern brunch, the experience was disastrous, the coffee was old and cold, finally when they changed the coffee the cream was expired and sour just off, the omelette with spinach and prosciutto was super salty, the of salmon and eggs omelette without salt, the plate of chicken and waffles the Crispy of the chicken was super overcooked, at the end I asked for an orange juice and it was also expired. The prices seem high for the quality of food they offer. The fruit was filled with inedible pineapple core, not really what we expected for eastern brunch. The waitress did as best she could but the kitchen was not really helping much. Sorry but not recommended. .

We dined at VG yesterday w friends. Leslie did an excellent job of tending bar and serving our table, cudos to her for juggling many balls. We each ordered something different to experience the restaurant’s new Cajun menu. My flounder was too heavily breaded and overdone, fingerling potatoes stayed under the warming lamp way too long we’re hard and again overdone, green beans were under cooked. My wife’s snapper was well prepared but a bit overcooked. Her mashed potatoes were unlike any she’s had before, pastie and starchy a result of being overworked, and the color was….odd. Our deserts were good, the cheese cake was very flavorful. The beignets sprinkled w sugar were tasty. Be prepared for a spicy meal, it is Cajun.

Very poor meal. Chicken in a salad was tough. Hamburger, ordered medium was delivered essentially raw, and French fries were so stale, it was almost impossible to chew them. The only bright spot was multiple drink refills.

The place looks awesome…so much more airy and cheery….I ordered the deluxe BLT…it was missing the ‘herbed mayo’ so it was dry, I wanted to ask, my fault…I am just not an asker and I took it as a sign that I didn’t need those calories 🙂 Also, so much bread and not enough bacon to go around…I find this at a lot of places…really, slap two-three more pieces of bacon on the sandwich so we’re not eating tomato and lettuce on a big piece of bread. Just because the bread is big, doesn’t make it a big sandwich…..
