In November 2020 we opened The Vegan Club on Shaker Square. We are proud to serve mouthwatering Plant Based meals in a refined environment. The Vegan Club is not what people picture when they think of a vegan restaurant.
With a industrial chic décor and lighting, we are the first plant-based restaurant in town to have a full bar with an fresh cocktail menu to match. There are no obvious vegan cues and most guests don’t even make the connection that the menus is plant-based – they just know that the restaurant is comfortable and the food is satisfying and delicious.

This. Place. Is. The. Bomb!!! Takes place as best vegan restaurant in Cleveland imo! All of the food was delicious. Got the apple tart dessert, po’ boy w generous and tasty side salad, okra fries (took pic after started eating but the plating was beautiful), and the butternut salad. Clean and modern atmosphere yet casual vibe. Loved it can’t wait to go back.

Grabbed carry-out while passing through town. As I ate my oysters and grits I kept saying, “oh my god this is so good”. It is not delicate health-conscious vegan food. It is hearty, comforting, decadent vegan food. Like the oyster mushrooms, my “crab fries” were deep fried and absolutely delicious, but I should have ordered a salad instead. The two together were way too heavy for one meal, but both dishes were so good. If I lived in Cleveland, I would eat here at least once a week. Very reasonably priced. They are only serving carry-out as they settle into a new spot just a block away from the old one. Looks like it is going to be cute!

Holy cow. What amazing quality! Bbq ranch wings made out of delicious chewy and crunchy oyster mushrooms? Yes! Brussel sprout Caesar that tastes like parm? Yes! I’m a meat eater and this was my best meal in weeks.

Fantastic. I absolutely loved the food. I love the venue. I had the spicy chikn sandwich and it was fantastic. I didn’t even have time to take pictures of the food before my partner and I devoured our food. We had the cheesecake and the apple tart for dessert and even that was done with thought and care. One of the best places I have eaten all year (2022). I will be back.

I stopped by this place for some take-out while doing some sight seeing in Ohio. We had the crab cake sandwich and mushroom po boy. They were FANTASTIC. If I lived here I would go all the time. Bring your friends who think they don’t like vegan food!

Food is great. However dine-in experience was not. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. There seemed to be 1 server for the whole restaurant. Instead of seating us at the same time as the couple before us, she seated them. Then she got them water and took their order. We just wanted to be seated instead of standing there waiting so long. I will not be coming back to dine-in here.
