A breath of fresh air for Fife Lake. April is the new owner of The Upper Bar and Grill. She has brought back cleanliness, great tasting food and excellent service to the area. As far as I am concerned, April has set a new standard for Fife Lake. Well done! We had the wet burrito for lunch and it was delicious…not a drop left on our plates. The next time you are in Fife Lake and are looking for some great food, or a refreshing adult beverage, be sure to check out The Upper bar and grill. You will Not be disappointed.

We only came in once under the old name and ownership. We were less than impressed and never came in again. When we learned that April, from Yankee Boy, had purchased the bar, we decided to check it out. What a difference! We’ve since been in several times and have enjoyed the food and drinks on every visit. The perch is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Offroad and Blueberry Bourbon Pie are excellent drinks!

FYI, this establishment was previously called Gordy’s Place, but it is apparently under new ownership and now called Upper Bar & Grill. We confusingly found this out when visiting the area and trying to find Gordy’s but being led to the Upper, then comparing the addresses and building photos listed on Google and finding they were the same. Gordy’s had not been marked as permanently closed yet.

Off the beaten path, next to Fife Lake, is this hidden gem! They offer a Silver dollar sized chicken & waffle appetizer, picture worthy, cause it was too cute! Burgers cooked to perfection. But it’s the VERY courteous staff that provided a knock out welcome, for these newbies! We enjoyed a round of pool, while we waited for our food. IPA on tap, which provides the opportunity to try something new! We will be back.

Excellent location in Fife Lake and the food was delicious. I had the poutine fries. They couldn’t have been better. Ou waittress was very nice and friendly. She said hello the minute we walked in the door. We’ve been her before, but it seems the menu has changed, and they have upped their game. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back.
