I am not going to lie, the food was amazing!!! I got the biggest turkey wing ever, I think it was ostrich lol jk. I ordered that with jollof rice, it was very spicy but very delicious. Plantain we got wasn’t soggy, it was cooked to perfection. My husband got the Egusi and Ebay which was very good too. He didn’t enjoy the meat part of it but it was good nonetheless. I wasn’t disappointed at all!! I am definitely returning to the store. The lady at the store was really nice too. One disadvantage is that the restaurant doesn’t have a lot of sitting space, just 2 tables.

This is the best African restaurant around Chicago! They keep improving and adding new food to their menu! Their Egusi and Jollof rice is rich, delicious and very good portion, just like you’d get from a Nigerian party. Ask for their Suya, the special Funmi Sauce (ata dindin), grilled Tilapia, and fried yam!

I never knew this restaurant was right here in Calumet City. I’ve been dreading going up north for good west African food. I’m so glad I found this place because the food is delicious. It’s full of flavor and authentic. I ordered the egusi with fish and the jollof rice with chicken they were both really good the jollof rice had the perfect amount of spice and is balanced. The egusi is the star of the show, man it’s really good. The food was ready quickly and the man who works the front was very polite and friendly. I will be a return customer I really enjoyed my meal. Thank you

I paid a nice amount of money, I ordered the tomato stew, and 2 pieces of meat which was extra, the gave me a container full of white rice, small container of stew which was only tomatoes and spice no other flavor, and a half a piece of fish and a half piece of beef which was to tough to chew, this was a complete Waste of my money! I can’t believe you charge me $15 for a container of white rice. Not a good visit at all. The lil stew was so spicy I had to just throw the whole meal away.

Turkey was very tough to the point it couldn’t be separated as I bit into it. The jollof rice was dry. I’ve had better will not be back. I don’t know how they eat rice but I use a spoon they had no spoons or forks ‍♀️. The egusi stew was ok. I spent almost 30$. Very expensive

I live in Indiana and authentic African food is hard to come by. My boyfriend and I found this place and gave it a try. We got the egusi soup with fufu. The service was good. We ordered it for pick up. My boyfriend has had this dish before elsewhere, but this was my first time trying it. We both loved it very much. The meat was nice a tender and very well flavored. Mildly spicy, so if you like spicy foods then you may want to ask for more spice. We are excited to go back and try the other dishes there.
