Beyond my expectations! Italian cuisine is never my first choice but after calling a few restaurants in the area and all had about 1hr waiting time for dinner on a Saturday my husband and I decided to check out this place. It was the best choice we could’ve made. The environment was cool, when you first walk in to the restaurant it looks small but the have an additional dinning room in the atrium which is pretty cool. It gives you a feeling like you’re seating outside but inside a building. The food as excellent our waitress was very attentive. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back again.

The atmosphere was great very nice and fancy place. Focassia was so oily I don’t really recommend that. I loved the haddock fish dish so delicious. Also, the pasta was truly authentic and fresh.

It was my first time here. I found the decorum really inviting and friendly. It felt warm walking in, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We were there for brunch, so we tried some of our personal favorites, and my only issue if I’m being honest was that the food tasted a bit under seasoned for my liking. It felt as though they just forgot that part of the whole process on top of it, also being a bit overdone. Everything else, however, from the drinks and ambiance, wonderful. I would check it out again.

This is our family go to for almost all important get togethers (birthdays, mother’s day) as well as when we are just feeling fancy – it’s perfect. Great food, revolving cocktails, and awesome service, plus the owners care about the community and their employees. No notes- I hope they never change!

I’ve been to The Townshend in Quincy about 4 times now. As a local, it’s great to have a consistently good restaurant to visit. I love that you can sit inside or out, and both offer great atmosphere. The menu is on the small side and changes frequently to what’s in season. All their cocktails, appetizers, and entrees I’ve tried have been fresh and incredible tasting. The staff is super friendly and for the most part you can walk right in and get a table without needing a reservation. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the wait time to receive cocktails and entrees. On my last two visits it took at least 30 minutes to get our cocktails and another 45 minutes to receive our main entrees. At this time there was only one other table inside the restaurant so it was unclear why the wait, but I will say the outside seating was full which could have caused the delay. If you have time to spare and can get an outside table on a sunny day, then the delicious food is definitely worth the wait. The food portions are on the smaller side and slightly pricey, but the overall quality, taste, and presentation is above and beyond.

First time here and we came for brunch. Couldn’t have been happier. All of the staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. Probably one of the best fried chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Great mimosas as well. Highly recommend if your in the area of downtown Quincy. It’s also located right across from the beautiful Adams Hancock park.

After a day in Boston my husband and I wanted food on our way home, I knew Quincy always has amazing food. We looked up the Townsend and it seemed like our kinda spot!

We discovered this local gem last summer on their outdoor patio and love coming back! The pastas are made in house and although there isn’t a printed children’s menu, they can make any of the favorites from butter sauce pasta to grilled cheese. All the servers are friendly and efficient. Make sure to make a reservation as it fills up fast!

My first time here on the recommendation of a friend, and I found the ambiance, service, and crafted cocktails to be outstanding. The food however, was very disappointing especially for the price. I found the “smash burger” to be overly cooked and very dry and I also found unidentified metal kitchen debris in my food and had to send it all back. I left hungry and disappointed.

It was a nice meal. The place is cozy, the staff is ok. I order the Benedict eggs and they were really good. My friends got chicken and waffles and they look awesome. I took one star because my friend got so mad cause she got an orange juice in the smallest cup you’ll ever see plus it wasn’t even full and for $3.5 i think its a little over price. The other thing is that they forgot to bring some churros that we order (but the waiter apology and bring us a shot of eggnog which is homemade. Delicious) overall it was a good experience.
