We have been wanting to try their Wed special of fish and chips 2for $20. It was as good as the fish and chip pics show on their Website. A large piece of haddock, coleslaw and a choice of onion rings, sweet potato fries, or regular fries. We shouldn’t have ordered the calamari though it was excellent. Cooked to perfection.

This place was a total joke! Not sure what people are talking about, would never go here again! We eat here once before, spent close to $100 for 2 drinks (1 each), an appetizer and one dinner (shared), nothing was great that night either. But this little take out order was the worst. First check out that creamed spinach, $4, it is literally about 2 table spoons, really like 25 cents worth (see quarter in photo) the container is 2″x3″ and the spinach is about 1/2″ deep. Then the horrible onion rings, $6 for like a dozen (50 cents each). They were greasy, stringy and just plain horrible. Last were the $15 chicken wings (pieces), count them, we got 7 pieces not 8. They were soggy, fatty, small and grocery store quality ($8/lb) at best. Only 2 flavors to choose from, I mean come on! None of the food in my photos was touched, that’s what we got for about $30.

Got off the highway to get some gas and we saw The Town deli & Pub restaurant that was connect to the gas station and decided to dine in. Service was great, fast and friendly. The steak and cheese is delicious. The wild rice bowl was good and the steak is amazing! The baked mac & cheese is more noodles with cheese sause and bread crumb. Chicken and broccoli Alfredo was okay chicken is not grilled more like boiled? French onion soup was good! I would have liked to try more but we were stuffed. If your looking for food off the highway, I would totally recommend!

People seated after us ordered (one was the same meal) and rec’d their food before us. When we did receive our salad we had to ask for utensils. Finally when we did receive our food it was cold and had to ask for it to be reheated. Not the perfect dining experience!

I ordered takeout tonight and got a Rueben with sweet fries, 2 Bowls of soup of the day which was Chicken and Vegetable Stew and also got a kids pasta and sauce. The soup had huge chunks of chicken that were so chewy I ended up spitting it out. Not to mention the carrots and celery were still hard and vegetables were frozen corn and peas. I’m not sure who made this “stew” but it was horrible and obvious as not checked to make sure it was fully cooked! Also the kids pasta and sauce cost $8.99 and I got about $1.00 worth of food. It’s sad that people just don’t take pride in their job anymore! Last but not least whoever packed the takeout put the soups loosely on top of the Rueben sandwich…. I guess I don’t have to tell you… the soup went everywhere in the bad!
