So this is my first time here, these are the same people that owned the Mexican inn in South Chicago a place I used to go with my grandmother when I was a boy. Same food delicious! The owner was very cordial with the sweetheart Grandma style cook in the back who reminded me of my own grandmother. Great atmosphere here they do not serve liquor yet but they do have plenty of beers and they even serve the old school Mexican Coca-Cola that has the real sugar in it. Delicious food that is just way overpriced for the amount you actually get. I really wish the prices were more reasonable. The food depicted is the Combination (two Beef tacos, Chicken soft cheese, Beans and Rice, small salad) for $13.00. I had one Dos Equis beer and the total was almost $20.00 total. The fact is that I could easily eat more than twice this amount. Tacos were bigger back in the day. I recommend that you try it, just bring some dough.

While the menu may not be huge, the flavor certainly is! With ten of us dining in I think we tried just about everything on the menu and we were all extremely pleased with what we ate. The kid’s meals were adorable in a little special box with a toy. The decor and ambiance was great. It was a little confusing walking in not knowing if we should seat ourselves or that we had to head straight to the back to order and then sit, but we figured it out! Would definitely go back if I ever find myself in the area.

I ordered a taco special for two which included 6 tacos, 2 sides and two cokes. I ordered the chicken tacos and the tortillas were crispy right on point; the chicken was very delicious they actually season it. My side was a half beans and half rice bowl. the meal is very filling and for only $25 its a deal! The only thing missing would be an option for a spicy salsa. The service there is excellent as well it was my first time there and Dave at the counter was super friendly and told me about the specials . Which was great! he noticed it was my first time there and made it easy for me to place an order. It was an excellent experience and I will definitely be going back.

The owner thinks he’s special, and blares loud music! His hard shell tacos stuck compared to Mexican Inn! He has the poor ladyl skimp on everything from ground meat to hardly any cheese! And yes that is not goat milks cheese. It’s some yuppie crcrap!

Omg! Takes me back to my younger years! Tacos just like I remember and the soft cheese is pure heaven!! A little pricey but it’s expensive to travel back in time to that kind of yummy deliciousness!! Well worth the price to treat yourself!!
