Stopped in for brunch. The restaurant was full, so we took seats at the bar, which were open and available. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was awesome. The food was just alright. There was nothing special about our meals that left a “I need to return” feeling. For a meal or drinks, the location and atmosphere of being downtown is perfect.

The biscuits and gravy, I repeat, the biscuits and gravy, absolutely delicious! Such a fun place, it’s a fun mix of a restaurant and a little market. Really a one stop shop. Our server was really nice, he took great care of us. Service was very fast and the food was very fresh. The portions were bigger than expected for the price. I’ll be back for the biscuits and gravy!

I’ve walked by here so many times, but finally took the plunge to meet for brunch–so glad we did! The atmosphere is so cozy, and everything is well decorated. It’s a market, bar, coffee lounge, restaurant, and grab-n-go all in one! Such a cool environment! Our server was so friendly and quite patient as we took our time to chat and go over their menu. It’s not a huge selection, but that was quite welcome, in my opinion. I get overwhelmed when restaurants have 100 choices! I started off with a hazelnut latte, which was the perfect drinking temperature upon serving…quite surprising! Not overly sweet and a good balance of hazelnut and coffee. We ordered fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and shrimp & grits. Our frost round of tomatoes was cold on the inside due to being sliced too thick. Our waitress was so kind about it and brought fresh, perfectly cooked ones out again. I’m crazy picky about pimento cheese, but theirs is fabulous! The tomatoes were fried so well and not greasy. Total win! The shrimp and grits were some of the best I’ve had (and that’s a lot!). Tender, perfectly cooked shrimp, creamy grits, small chunks of conecuh sausage, and just enough peppers to give it flavor and color. The cream sauce was delicious… I devoured it far quicker than anticipated. The food is not inexpensive, but honestly well worth it. It’s no more costly than any other place around Huntsville. I’m excited to go back and try more! Great environment, great service, and great food–definitely give it a try!

Nice Brunch Spot. I really enjoyed the Steak. Altbough it came out lukewarm my server corrected it as soon as we brought it to his attention. I never understood why resteraunts wait to bring everything together but that’s the case here. I also had a biscuit with gravy, because I was torn. I was really packed. I suggest going outside of rush hours. Shrimp & Grits was cooked to perfection. Pictures added. Definitely a little peice of heaven in downtown Huntsville.

A little drafty because of the cold and table wasn’t really big enough to hold appetizers and entrees. Other than those 2 things I had great experience. I’m happy to go back and explore the menu. It is an easy gem of the city to enjoy brunch.

I stumbled into this place while looking for another place. Overall it was ok. Service was average. Atmosphere was average. Staff was semi friendly. Recommend to staff when making eye contact then smile. No power cords where I think there should be some but then again I see other reviews where the manager is making people want to leave sooner? I ordered water, black bean soup with chorizo, and the shrimp and grits. All were delicious. Shout out to the shrimp. They were nice and jumbo. Good flavor too. Recommend and will come back.

I’ve been eyeing this place down for a while but never had a need for an early breakfast downtown. Today was the day and after the experience I’m a super-fan!

What a cool little gem in downtown Huntsville! We were looking for a breakfast place when we came across the Standard Social Market. This place has one of the coolest vibes downtown. It’s a bar, coffee shop, market, AND restaurant! We had the Old School Breakfast (added pancakes), and the French toast (added potatoes) with mimosas (orange juice). All were excellent and are highly recommended. If you are downtown and looking for something different, give this place a shot!

Delish! While there, we met owners Erick and Stephanie Luther and they could not have been nicer. The food is excellent – Erick is the Chef. The grocery and market is full of locally sourced, high quality products. I was most impressed with their fresh meat counter and baked fresh daily bread. If not going for a meal, it’s a great spot to pick up unique foods, wine and gifts.
