A lovely addition to Spartanburg‘s growing fleet of creative and innovative restaurant options. There is a bit of room for improvement on the back office to table dynamics, but it has a beautiful and swanky atmosphere. I enjoyed the Drayton Daisy cocktail, and the drink options are definitely there. Well done on bringing this to Spartanburg.

This was our 1st visit. The atmosphere was exciting. Staff were polite and helpful. The food was good. A little heavy on the taste for me, if you understand that. It was good. But was really heavy, not necessarily on spice…just flavor. I can’t really explain…But Good in a different way. Presentation nice.

This was our first time. The ribs had a lot of fat on them and the cole slaw was very bland. My husband had the meatloaf which he would not recommend to anyone. We thought we would have dessert so we chose the blueberry cobbler which was also very disappointing. The prices are way out of line for the quality and quantity of food. We loved the decor and the atmosphere. We hope they will improve the quality of the food.

My first time here being a new restaurant. It was nicely decorated, modern and chic, while acknowledging the roots of the facility. We were seated immediately. The seating area being a bit intimate shall we say.

The location was lovely as was the ambiance. The server was nice and responsive. 4 of us went for lunch. 2 of us had meals that came with fries. The fries were terrible. How do you mess up French fries? It’s the 1st thing you eat..but they were so soggy, were inedible. We took them home to see if heating in proper oven would be better next day, nope. Never had such disappointing fries. Just ruined it for us. If fries were good, score would have doubled!

Went on a Friday night without a reservation. We got a table because of a cancelled reservation. After we ordered, the food took an hour to arrive without a single visit from our waiter. We flagged him down a couple times for drinks and to ask him how much longer it would be. Instead of going to check on our food, as he should have done, he said “10 minutes”. 17 minutes later we got our food. I ordered the chicken tender salad. It was a mound of Iceberg lettuce (!) VERY lightly dressed with Green Goddess dressing, four overcooked chicken tenders and five (admittedly good) avocado slices. I get better salads from Publix. We had a good time laughing about the terrible service in such an “upscale” restaurant, but definitely no reason to go back.

Just had my first lunch visit to The Standard. I ordered the meatloaf and it was easily the best I’ve ever had. The plate also came with mashed potatoes & gravy, light crispy fried onions, and collard greens with the perfect touch of heat/spice. The whole plate was excellent. Don’t change a thing, I’ll definitely be back to order it again!

We went on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. My wife’s salad was a bit stale, my biscuits and gravy (recommended by the waitress) was not very good. The gravy was street, almost sauce-like, and the biscuits had a gritty texture.

The food here was very standard. I was expecting a lot more, considering the hype this place receives. Everything is extra, including bread. Cocktails are also very small and seem watered down for the price. I don’t mind paying more for good food and drinks, but literally getting three sips out of an $8 cocktail is ridiculous. Also, the service is lacking. So many different people came to the table over the course of the meal, with our waitress only making one of those appearances. I would not recommend this place. There are a lot better restaurants with better food in the Spartanburg area.
