Great food and hangout spot on the weekend. Our servers are always polite to us, and there’s a great view from the outdoor seating. The brisket is always thick and moist. The sides are good, and the sweet tea keeps on coming. Everything is perfect; don’t change a thing.

Stopped here when we were making a road trip from GA to NC. Great food. Great customer service. Great atmosphere. Great prices. Food was ready very fast. They had a real fire going in the fireplace, so cozy. Their sweet potato crunch is sooooo delicious. Loved the ribs, a little on the dry side since their sauce comes on the side but I actually prefer it that way. I know some ppl love theirs drenched in BBQ sauce. My husband loved the stew. Plus it’s local

Found this amazing little bbq place off exit 1 in SC! Just a few miles from the exit. Ate there 1 night and went back the next night! Delicious food. We’ve tried several things from the menu and have loved them all. The salads are amazing. Huge! And fresh lettuce and veggies. I had brisket on it and it was delicious. My husband ate brisket and sides one night, ribs another time and the bbq egg rolls were amazing.

After numerous references to “that bbq place in Fair Play”, we decided to check it out. Friday you afternoon at 5.30pm their parking lot is full and we can’t cross it because there is a car after another continuously. Busy place for sure, includes an outside dining area.

This is country ‘cue, in a restaurant situated alongside the proverbial road. I stopped by for lunch, to discover that one of the staff had brought their little boy to work. He had taken over an entire table, which was covered with toys. The restaurant was soon packed, with regulars whom the staff greeted by name as they came in. This is the corner of the BBQ world that I most love– and after 358 BBQ stops in 35 states I can also confidently say that it is where the value for your dollar is typically the highest. For $19.08, I wolfed down a rib plate (3 large and meaty bones) with sides of Brunswick stew and corn pudding. A refillable soda (Coke products) completed the order. The stew was wonderful, and the corn pudding superb. The ribs? Top notch: juicy, separating cleanly at the bite, with a light rub that enhanced rather than distracted from the flavor of good quality meat. There is really good value here. And I would have liked to try a dessert, but I needed to save room for a Greek restaurant in Raleigh that evening.

A very pleasant surprise hidden in the woods. Excellent food and service with a smile. Glad I stopped by while at Lake Hartwell.

Great local BBQ restaurant in Fairplay SC. Close to Hartsville Lake. Can get busy a dinner time. Parking is somewhat limited. Great outdoor seating weather permitting. Usual BBQ menu items, I had the pulled pork which was very good. Fries where so so. Plenty of inside seating.

We came here based on the hype surrounding this restaurant and yet the only compliments I can give it are that the soda machine had the perfect ratio to carbonation and syrup and the bbq nachos were amazing.

Great BBQ is hard to find. This place rocks!!!! They use a dry rub, smoke and BBQ. There’s definitely something for everyone. The side dishes, OMG amazing!!! Creamy cheesy mac, Brunswick stew (I don’t even like that stuff but theirs was great), perfect corn casserole, sweet potato casserole.

Definitely going to be a regular spot for us! When you walk in the have a desert case so you can see what’s available and a sign that shows everything unavailable so you already know in advance. There’s an indoor seating and an outdoor seating overlooking the farm behind the place. WOW was the food good. The Brunswick stew, brisket, and pulled pork were all really tasty. The Mac and cheese was a bit plain. The sweet tea was so fresh, not overly sweet, and zero bitterness. I wish I had more than one glass since my glass was empty the entire time we waited for food, but we didn’t see our waitress after we sat down. Not going to blame a one-time thing (hopefully) for what our next experience will be.
