Clearly a favorite with the locals. At one point, a patron left and the entire bar said goodbye the service was decent and the food was pretty good. As my husband said, they cooked his burger right (it didn’t walk off his plate). My lobster roll had lots of meat! And the roll was delicious. Will likely return.

After being sat we had to fight the flies at our table. I know this happens but it was the kick starter. I ordered the fish and chips and was expecting a nice piece of cod with a great beer batter but ended up with 3 fishsticks that would have insulted the Gordan Fisherman. I was there many years ago and had a good experience and loved their wings. Unfortunately was extremely disappointed with this meal. Fries were also cold. I will say I saw a response from the owner to another post and appreciate them wanting to fix it.

Very old school, neighborhood place, bordering on a dive. Loud bar crowd. Onion rings were good. Tuna melt was just ok,, but nothing to write home about! The portions were large. I was able to take half of my sandwich home. Our waitress was very good! I would give her 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kind of hard not to love this place. It has some dang good food, including pub fare and great specials that cater to locals that need a reasonably priced meal. The staff are great. Hard workers, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make it a good experience. Fun place to hang out in nice weather with the outdoor Tiki lounge out back and they have a lot of music events and cookoffs for colder months too.

We had a party of 6 and went for a quick supper. Glasses were dirty, hot appetizers were cold inside, fish and chips came with 3 fish sticks, the meat on a pastrami sandwich tasted sour. Every meal was disgusting.. definitely will not return, gross!

The Puppy is a local neighborhood bar with great staff, food, and atmosphere. The staff are attentive and will always take care of you! The food is remarkable, with large portions and wonderful flavor. The atmosphere is as good as it gets with the indoor space having a large U-shaped bar but the star of the show is The Outback. The Outback transforms this bar into an outdoor oasis where you can spend all day listening to live music on the newly renovated stage!

I’ve ordered takeout a few times from The Spanked Puppy and the food was some of the best I’ve had in Vermont. I’m not a huge fan of how they treated my wife when she went in, but I have never had an issue myself. Definitely a place you should try if you’re in the area!

We might have caught them at a bad time, but it was a long wait for food, and soups came out with the main course. Also, the food was pretty bland.. nothing special. I will say, my steak was cooked perfectly and the beer was cold (you just had to waive down your server to get one)
