I’ve been coming to the Spanish Bakery since I was a kid. The patio area has changed, the interior layout has changed, but the food has NOT. Still the same amazing empanadas that I enjoyed back then. They have the most amazing bread you’ll ever have the privilege of tasting! Get yourself a chicken empanada with a side of beans and rice. Don’t forget to get a loaf of bread to take with you. If you’re coming on a weekend, go early because they do sell out. They open at 11!

Love this place. From the most amazing Cuban sandwiches to the spicy and yummy mustard sauce this little eatery is hidden away on Saint George Street. Don’t forget the baked goods too! Sit out side under a cypress tree (way inland for it actually) and enjoy the beautiful florida weather.

Tony and I stopped at the Spanish Bakery & Cafe on George’s Street in St Augustine Florida. I talked briefly with the lady baker asking her about the Cuban loaves of bread. The aroma alone needs to be incorporated into a candle. I would buy a candle that puts out the aroma of Fresh Baked Bread…

Gotta try the Cuban sandwich. Blk beans and rice are delicious. Fast and friendly service and they have fresh breads. Nice and soft. Yummy

The person serving made us feel most unwelcome as if we were disturbing his internet time. The food was dry and tasteless, also no napkins or sauces. Wouldn’t come back here!

The food was so wonderful we went two days in a row and parked in a tow zone just to run over to get another Cuban sandwich. The bread is amazing so light and fluffy. Definitely recommend!
