After a grueling travel day how nice it was to get a quick snack from The Southern Steak & Oyster! The restaurant was bright and cheery and the staff was great handling our takeout order (order at the bar). We could have eaten at the bar if we wanted to! The fried Brussels sprouts ($12) were so delicious with a mild chili sauce to give them a bit of heat. This was complemented nicely by the chive mashed potatoes ($7)! Not bad for airport prices. 5 Stars!

For the airport the food was exceptionally good, but be prepared to pay airport prices (a small side of fries $7). The service was great and they had live entertainment just across from the restaurant which was very good. We ate the Southern Burger and the Nashville Hot Chicken Salad, both were great.

Food was delicious, but the portions were a bit small. And, of course, expensive, being that this is in an airport. Still, you should consider this place for a meal or a cocktail. Service was very attentive and friendly!

Had some time before my flight and wanted something light as I’d had a late lunch. The BBQ shrimp on the appetizer menu seemed appealing. Five shrimp with some toasted baguette. Really tasty oniony and garlicky sauce, great for dipping your bread. (If you’re nice to your server they may bring you more.) May have to stop again my next time through.

Best food, service and Sauces ever!!! Absolutely fun, and delicious. Try the drink with blackberry and these sauces on fries: SOS Somewhere, Southern Belle, and Southern Gentleman. Love this place and the purchase of sauces were low!

Top 5 of our airport dining experiences! If we were Dining at the original downtown location of this restaurant I would probably rate it a 4, but for airport food this exceeded our expectations. Everything was warm and cooked perfectly. It tasted fresh, not frozen. My only mild complaint is that for a “Medium” the steak might have been a little over done. But again for an airport that is a lame complaint. Taste, and seasoning was perfect.

We had a great time here. This was our first time to this location while we were on a short layover. The flight got delayed and we had to spend another 45min in the areas so we desired to spot by this location for few drinks and a small plate. We ordered some beer and some fish tacos. The bar is nice with a cool view and the ambiance was also great. Staff was friendly and food was also great. Would defiantly recommend them to others. Will stop by again soon.

I didn’t expect to have such an enjoyable meal in the Nashville airport but we were so pleased with the food and service at Southern Steak and Oyster. Their twist on a Caesar salad was very nice and we also liked the brisket. Good flavor without being super greasy. Highly recommend.
