Don’t think twice, just go. My pulled pork sandwich had enough tender moist pork for 2 sandwiches and the 2 homemade sides were delicious (potato salad & smoky Mac & cheese) The Mac & cheese had a great slight kick to it…so yummy. And, I got a 1/2 a pint of their special of the week, the smoked chicken salad. So far, I’ve made 3 sandwiches out of it and there’s still enough for another. I thought my homemade chicken salad was the bomb until I tried theirs! I walked in at the busiest time (12:30 on a Saturday), had not called ahead and walked out with my food in less than 5 minutes (even with a line waiting). Portions were so generous I couldn’t eat it all. Everything was delicious & the owners were so nice and helpful. What a great addition to Jefferson County!

I ordered a plate with brisket and baby back ribs. It came with two sides in which I got potato salad it was homemade creamy and delicious and corn pudding! Oh my gosh the corn pudding with some of the best I have ever had. The brisket was soft tender and full of flavor as were the ribs. I ordered it with no sauce and it had a perfect rub on it that I’d like to copy for myself. I also ordered a chocolate cake that was the special for the day. It was in the refrigerator, so when I brought it home I put it in the microwave for a few seconds. The frosting was so creamy the cake was delicious and it had just a bit of cinnamon in it. They are open thursday, Friday and Saturday only. It is worth the trip give it a try. Oh I almost forgot, it was quick the lady at the counter who always takes care of me was fabulous and very friendly. Next time I will try to make sure I take pictures before I fill my face and gullet.

I am Texan, born and raised, so I know a thing or two about BBQ. This is some of the best BBQ I have ever had. I had the ribs, and they were simply delicious. My mouth was experiencing harmonious flavors and the meal overall was absolutely delectable. I met Douglas, one of the owners, and he was so kind and made you feel oh so welcomed. I highly suggest you come try out the Smokey Q, and I will be a returning customer!!

Today was my first trip to the Smokey Q. It did NOT disappoint. The brisket literally was melt in your mouth and the ribs were very meaty. No sauce needed when meats are cooked to perfection. I have tried several other local barbecue places in Jefferson County and I can honestly say that today’s experience had more abundant flavor than other places I have tried. I am also happy to have finally found people who know how to make a good potato salad! I look forward to coming back at some point in the future to try some of their other offerings like the smoked chicken wings. The Smokey Q is a wonderful addition to our local culinary plate. Highly Recommend!

We’ve been meaning to get here since they opened, but we live a few hours away. Was worth the drive though. If we lived closer we’d be coming every weekend. I hit BBQ restaurants everywhere I go. Most places I’ve been have better brisket than the other options but at this place everything is top notch. I don’t usually go for ribs, but they may have been my favorite. We had a group of 8 so we were able to order all the meats and several sides. It was all outstanding. I tried the chicken salad as well. Probably the best I’ve ever had. The pulled chicken was really good as well, very moist. The baked beans were great as was the creamy cole slaw. The kids loved the Mac and cheese. And the banana pudding was outstanding as well. Like I said, you can’t go wrong here. Everything was excellent! Great job Doug and Janine! Really enjoyed it.

Food was really good! Ribs where super tender great flavor didn’t need bbq sauce. Mac n cheese was delicious. Even the pickles where good. Everyone working was vary nice, and everything was really clean.

Ordering process is easy and They prepare your quickly. The taste was fantastic. Had pork platter with Q sauce, baked beans, and mac & cheese. Their banana pudding was definitely homemade with a unique flavor to it that was delightfully yummy. I’d go again.
