We had a lovely experience dining at The Shell. The wait staff were super attentive and nice. As an appetizer, we had the octopus which was very tender. They also brought out bread with a tasty oil. For entrees we got the squid ink pasta and paella, both of which tasted very fresh. Our server was super kind and brought us a dessert for free to go along with the Irish coffee and Ruby port we ordered. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Shell and the food and service were great.

Excellent and highly recommended. The service here is top notch, so friendly, nice, professional and attentive! There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating at the bar or in the main dining room. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The menu is broad and delicious, along with an impressive happy hour! I enjoy fresh oysters and white wine. I will be back for more. Enjoy this lovely neighborhood place!!

My husband was here before and had amazing Oysters and Lobster Ravioli he said, so I was excited when we went together last night. We shared the Crab Cake and Oysters as an appetizer (super delicious) and then both had the Lobster Ravioli (so yummy). Everything was very flavorful. The portion sizing is on the smaller side yet the dishes are so rich and filling that we left very satisfied. Definitely coming back!

Great happy hour, Tues-Sat. $5 pints and equally fantastic freshly shucked oysters. The steamed mussels are delicious. Regular hour brews are still a bargain. The Bengali IPA, pictured, is one of the best I’ve had. Can’t get closer to an IPA than a Bengali, even if it’s brewed here in the States.

On Wednesday evening, we came into the Shell on a whim. It’s a cute place with cozy lighting and a really nice outdoor patio. There were a few people dining inside and no one dining outside. We sat outside. The waiter seemed nice but as the night went on he was very lack luster and seemed like he wasnt interested in being there. However the food was surprisingly good! We ordered a dozen east coast oysters, which were very fresh. We also had the Maryland crab cake and lobster roll. The service was extremely slow for the amount of patrons dining. Everything seemed to take a little too long to get to our table. We ordered simple straightforward items we looked past this and continued our meal. Once we were done with the oysters, our waiter was just standing around didn’t bother to come check on us, nor did he clear our table per usual like at any other dining establishment. I’m not sure what the issue was, maybe it was just an off night for the wait staff. We may give this place another shot.
