Such a beautiful, relaxing place to enjoy excellent food. There were too many delicious dishes to pick from! We ended up with sedgwick salad, fingerling potatoes, beef short rib birria tacos, and dessert. The desserts were amazing. We had the bread pudding and chocolate lava cake, and they were exceptional!

Ugh this review was hard because customer service and the atmosphere (in the bar side) was good and had a very chill atmosphere. But the food was underwhelming.

Went to this restaurant for the first time with a friend tonight. I was blown away, we both felt like we never had such good food and experience as we did here. The staff was welcoming , attentive and nice. The food was delicious , many layers of flavors and different textures. Will go back for sure.

We have walked by several times over the last year and my wife has always wanted to try it. The Sedgwick did not disappoint! It was a little loud but there were a lot of people dining out. That is a good sign. First, the atmosphere was great! We were seated in an area where we could watch the cooks create their amazing dishes. The decor was well thought out and they gave just enough light to set an easy going mood. The service was pretty good. It wasn’t great but not to the fault of the server. It was very busy and they were obviously under staffed. She worked hard and answered all of our questions. She did a great job given the tremendous work load she was enduring when we first arrived. To the Sedgwick s credit, they did work on increasing the the number of employees by the time we were finished. Now, to the food. I ordered the Surf and Turf burger. Who has even heard of such a thing? It was outstanding and I don’t even like crab! The combined flavors were phenomenal. My wife had the Chicken Curry Bisque and it too was delicious. We were also able to try the Beef Yakatori and oh my word, how wonderful! Overall, our dining experience was a pleasure with the exception of the noise and it being a little over priced for the portions. We will definitely be back to try more of their culinary artistry.

Wonderful service, food and atmosphere. My husband had a soft shell crab burger which was phenomenal and I had crab bisque that was very yummy. Our friends had the yakatori. They also had an old fashioned and said it was the best drink they’d ever had.

Phenomenal meal! Our waitress Shelby was super nice and helpful. Man, every single plate we had was beyond good. Octopus, fried olives, mussel salad, pork belly and squash yakitori, and the most important part… bread pudding, which made me see Jesus, and I’m not even religious. I cannot wait to come back here. Our plan is to try all new things, which will be hard?l, considering how much we loved everything this evening. Great job, Sedgwick!!!

This is definitely a date night restaurant and not the kind of place I’d bring my kids. The food is all small plates, I highly recommend the yakatori- the filet and scallops were cooked perfectly. Next time we’ll ask for the sauce for the yakatori on the side, though, because it’s kind of drenched but that’s just a personal preference. For two people, 4-5 small plates is perfect. If you get the birria like we did then you can go with fewer and still be satisfied. My favorite of the cocktails we ordered was the “Hello You Handsome Devil”. If you like spicy, 10/10 recommend!

If ever in the area, looking to experience the beautiful State of Portland, I highly recommend paying this place a visit during your travels. Very chill environment with a lot of optional, tasty delights. The food is a bit exotic but don’t let this deter you… the menu was exquisite; absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef. The ambience was simply blissful and the service was definitely worth the quick wait; like that would ever be a problem to begin with. Lol! Anyways, Sedgwick was a very clean, relaxed environment, cool to hang out with friends or even to have a good ol’ smorgasbord time with your family; this place will not disappoint.

What a great place for lunch. The wife and I tried this place for the first time today and it definitely will be back. Love the small plates and getting to try a few things. We had the curry bisque, duck fat fries, and filet yakatori. They were all great. My only complaint at all was the fries were just a little thicker than I would have preferred. The gravy was delicious though. And don’t pass on the bisque whatever you do. The filet was tender and tasty. We decided to have a little dessert too and I’m so glad we did. The smoked pot-de-creme is fantastic! Make sure you leave room for it.

Cute, warm, and intimate. This place has great reviews, and they live up to it. I visited this place on a cold, snowy evening, and a glass of Spanish red along with the bbq scallops was an excellent choice. The scallops were beautifully prepared and had a nice tangy BBQ sauce with red onion. I highly recommend them. I also had the octopus, which caught my eye in my restaurant search, which lives up to its images. It had a nice texture, smartly prepared, and had a cauliflower companion that was quite good. Overall a great dining experience and will return again.
