Thank you Ross and team for an unbelievable party. It’s hard finding a place to host a family college graduation. Ross made sure to keep the drinks and food flowing. He made the children feel welcomed. He was personable and kind to everyone. The staff was excellent and were very attentive. Thanks for a wonderful night! Plus it was a Saturday after the beach. Well done!

I stayed at the Guesthouse and it was wonderful! Clean, modern, friendly service. The restaurants / bar is so fun and the food was good!! I got the crab cakes and the fish tacos. Great Happy Hour specials too.

Jersey Shore hidden gem! Stayed here recently with some friends for a weekend and the guesthouse was adorable. Very clean and the staff was friendly. We were told as guests of the hotel, we could have a discount at the restaurant onsite, The Salty Whale. We spent a lot of time there. Great food, great drinks, and great music. Can’t recommend this place enough and looking forward to going back.

Love the ambiance , but for some reason they just can’t get it right . Sunday afternoon, half full restaurant and appetizer took 25 min ( came out cold but we ate it we were starving). Entrees we’re not bad but.

Food needed some help. Ordered some type of a potatoe app with cheese in it. Cost was roughly 14/16 dollars. Came in 4 little pieces and tasted starchy and mushy…as if right from the frozen section. If this was a 6 or 7 dollar app…I would give it a pass, but not at $16. That works out to $4 dollars a piece for something about the size of 1/4 a potatoe skin! Then we had a seafood salad that was roughly $22. Came with 5 or 6 pieces of what looked like medium to small frozen shrimp on top that had appeared to have actually been cut in half! The salad had tuna which seemed straight from the can. Again if this was a $10 or $12 dollar item, I wouldn’t complain. But at $22, at least put some fresh or…. whole for that matter…shrimp on top. The salad itself was even diced up real small.

Currently sitting down at the Salty Whale as I’m writing this. Third time I’ve been here with my family in the past ~3 years. The first time was great. Second time was meh, this time was like what the heck this place is crashing and burning? Silverware was dirty. My wife ordered a burger and the bread was dry and not fresh almost like it was previously frozen. I ordered batter fish and chips and I literally couldn’t pull the fish apart with it forked on one end and my teeth on the other, waitress witnessing this as I demonstrated it and I was telling her about how soggy the skin was and chewy the fish is as I was attempting my first bite. Rubber bands anyone? I asked her quietly if it was microwaved and she said “no absolutely not” but perhaps it was bad ice or frozen too long or something. Anyway, we won’t be coming back to the Salty Whale again. Sorry Whale, you have lost us as customers as much as we love Squan there are better restaurants.

Wanted to relax and listen to music on Sunday afternoon. Website says music starts at 3PM. Get there at 3:30 and they say starting at 4PM. (checked with manager) At 4:45 still no music, and speak with manager and he says does not know where musicians are, smiles and walks away. Unfortunately spent $60 on drinks and appetizers waiting for music. Must be a reason why the bar had only 15 people in it, but went down the street to Leggetts to a packed patio and great music for dinner.

Great food and appetizers! Had the wings, buffalo dip, and the signature whale burger. The burger was amazing. This place has a great atmosphere and good drinks.

Pretty good food. Highly recommend the BLT salad. Good vibe, not on the water but still fun and beachy. Good music (wasn’t live when we went but I think they had a band earlier).
