I swear I was suffering from horrible stomach pains and altitude sickness. Got a big bowl of veggie pho and I feel 100% better. Kids enjoyed their fried rice. Very nice inside, don’t judge from the outside!

First time having lunch here… comfortable, airy, small restaurant. Server was attentive and friendly and helped us make choices from the menu: suggesting some popular and traditional items. She also explained the various sauces and accompaniments that were new to us. This helped us to try and enjoy new flavors! Plan to visit again and try other interesting menu items. If you are not familiar with this Cuisine, we encourage you to go and ask questions. They will guide you… we enjoyed eating “new for us” dishes and experiencing new flavors!

The food was absolutely delicious, and every taste bud on my palate was bursting with flavors like fireworks on the 4th of July. I highly recommend getting a seat by the window to enjoy the breathtaking mountain view. The service was impeccable, and the staff took the time to explain our entire dining experience, from the ingredients used to how each dish was prepared. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to ask them; they are more than happy to help.

It was amazing. I had never eater Vietnamese food before. My companion was experienced but if they aren’t busy Hoang goes table to table explaining what pairs with the Pho. The chili oil was just the right amount of heat for me. The pork and shrimp spring roll was so fresh and I loved the crunch of the cucumbers. The sandwich just has to be experienced. Enjoy the many flavors that awaken your taste buds. The coffee drips onto sweetened condensed milk. It’s like a really good desert.

Been going here ever since my mom introduced me over a year ago. Always incredible. Best cha gio I’ve had in a long time – they actually serve it right with basil / mint and lettuce to give it extra crunch, freshness, and complexity. And they have tasty chili oil to put on everything too.

Authentic and tasty Vietnamese food. From the outside you wonder if you are in the right place, and the inside is very plain and a little worn, but clean. However, the food was excellent and very fast. Had Pho, egg rolls, and the root special with the pork patty. Each was piping hot and clearly freshly made to order. Flavors were simple and clean, yet refreshing. Will return for sure! And their Boba tea was great too!

This place is the best Pho I’ve had. The shaken beef is also to die for, meat cooked and seasoned to perfection. Also a great spot to have some boba tea. I’ll be coming back.

This has been so far our best experience in a Vietnamese restaurant. We love Vietnamese food, especially their pho and their bun, but we had yet to find one place with great food and at least some good service. We finally found one at the Roots. They not only have great phos and buns, but our waiter (I think his name is Dan) provided us with outstanding service from beginning to end. First Vietnamese restaurant where our check was given when we asked, and not placed on the table before we finished our meal. Oh, one more thing, their egg rolls are amazing.

Having moved from Orange, California (the largest Vietnamese community outside Vietnam), this place is a must for authentic Vietnamese. We tried the duck and the rare beef pho and were blown away. The staff was attentive and helpful in explaining dishes on the menu if your new to this cuisine.
