From the moment we walked in we felt like we were visiting friends. Sufficient.tonsay customer service was OUTSTANDING! Bloody Marys were exceptional. House made candies bacon, pickled okra, and jalapeno stuffed olives garnished this amazing beverage! Fried green tomato salad was delicious and fresh. Hubs got grits w pork belly (comes w 2 over easy eggs). He didn’t say much during the meal which indicates it was amazing! Housemade biscuits are a must…you won’t have room to finish them…just take them home, you’ll thank me later. Prices were so reasonable and ambiance was adorable. Do yourself a favor and brunch here asap!!

If I could give this small restaurant higher then 5 stars, I would. I came at the recommendation of another regular patron for the grouper. I ordered the grouper thinking it was a sandwich. What I got was a grouper dinner over rice, mixed with mango and pineapple. Now I am a picky eater, but this was the best tasting grouper dinner I ever had. The explosion of flavors was amazing. Will come back as a regular for this one dish.

A hidden gem, food was excellent everyone was friendly!! We started lunch with the biscuits, so light, airy, and tender, I wish I could get these shipped back home. My hubby had the blackened fish-dont remember the type but amazing. I ordered the shrimp and grits, OMG so much flavor they were wonderful, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The greens were also delicious. This is a place you should absolutely visit, if you like to eat fresh food, made to order, never frozen, by people who love what they do.

This place is amazing and quirky at the same time. I would really study the menu as it is pretty unique. This is by no means a fancy restaurant if you are talking atmosphere and service, but by the food is fancy restaurant quality. My husband had the Rooster Almond Crunchy Grouper (Grouper breaded with Cornflakes sauteed with Almonds, Benne Seeds, Ginger and Chili Flakes, Served with Pineapple Farro, and a Mango Chutney Sauce) He said it was by far the best meal he’s ever had. I’m trying not to be offended 😉 He dug in so quickly I didn’t get a picture. I had a burger which was very good. I want to try breakfast next time. We met the Owner/Chef to praise him for the grouper. I will say that the service is a bit slow as they had many tables and only two servers. But it was ok, it was still an experience. Just don’t be in a hurry and enjoy.

I’ve been twice; once for breakfast about a month ago, and again today for lunch. I had the crab cake benne for breakfast, and the almond crunchy grouper for lunch, and carrot cake for dessert. Everything was masterfully created and so delicious. I can’t wait to try more of the menu.

All I have to say is WOW! somebody definitely knows what they’re doing in that kitchen. The food was phenomenal. Everything was seasoned perfectly. I had the pork belly grits with a side of biscuits and chicken gravy. My husband had the chicken and waffles, and my daughter had the pulled pork sandwich. They were all impressed, and that rarely happens lol. The service was great as well. Hats off!
