Went for dinner, great place! Service and food was wonderful. Had The Texans on Horseback, Airline Chicken and the Texas Size Brownie. Washed it down with the Big Red Rita and sweet tea. Will definitely be back! Decor is cool and meal was reasonably priced.

I was searching for a Dog Friendly patio and nothing was showing up close. I drove by this place, saw the patio and decided to call.

The chicken sandwich had a good flavor. However, the chicken breast was thin. There was a deep fried onion and lettuce that made the sandwich look larger. The fries also had a good flavor, and the number of fries was good. The added spice tasted salty, but with the ketchup, they were perfect. The beer was large and cold.

Come early. It’s getting crowded and they have only a few booths. I don’t like their chairs, but goes definitely with their rustic decor.

Nice place to enjoy a drink. Happy Hour Sunday starts at 4pm. Shrimp tacos are amazing! Wings are tasty! You can only get tacos during Happy Hour!

We stopped in on a whim. First off, our service was great! Food was brought out hot and fresh. I only gave it 4 stars as the flavor want there for us. We might have to try something different. We had chips and queso, biscuits and gravy and the wife had a skillet. Atmosphere was good, we might try it again for lunch/dinner menu. I am sure if we find something more enjoyable we can make it a regular stop.

3rd time is not a charm. The first time we came the food and drinks were great but the bar was backed up and took forever to get our drinks. Understandable and since we enjoyed our meal we decided to come back. The 2nd time was worse. Our server was rude and downright terrible. We had difficulty getting what we ordered, got our food before our drinks and then when we ordered another round of drinks we got the check instead. Of course the check included the 2nd round we never got. We had to flag down a manager to get those drinks. He did promptly deliver but didn’t say a word just dropped them off. We felt rushed and like they just wanted us to pay and get out. Today we tried again but we didn’t even bother to order. When we were being sat down (party of two) we asked for a booth. The hostess said that the booths were reserved for larger parties but right next to us were two ladies in a booth. Why was our party of two not good enough for a booth but theirs was? I could understand if they were busy but there were several open booths with plenty of seating right away. The menu is limited, the service is atrocious, and the attitude of everyone there is unexcusable. The only good thing I can say is when they made us angry enough today to where we turned around and walked out it prompted us to find a far superior restaurant. Don’t bother with The Repulic but rather go down the street to Moonshine or hop over to Round Rock and enjoy Whiskey Cake. Both restaurants are far superior in their menus, taste, drinks, and service.

Update: The Republic has sadly gone downhill. I don’t know if there is a new owner or what but the quality of food has declined. Also, there was a rotten egg smell by the bar, maybe the pipes? The nachos were fine but the chicken sandwich was a very thin piece of meat. I don’t need to return.
