First time attending The Ranchers. Pricing certainly represents higher echelon dining, but the end results were a bit of a miss tonight. Salads and drinks were great, pineapple jalapeno margarita used infusion jalapeno tequila, not just a splash jalapeno juice. Bloody Mary had a nice smoke flavor and was well balanced, however I personally hate to see these served with fruit and olives: olives only please. Dinner service is where traction was lost. Prime rib was barely at the medium level, almost a med-well. Tender, but a little lacking in flavor, with the exception of a great seasoning crust. The crust however was a bit over salted. My wife’s top sirloin was slightly overcooked as well which made it chewy. Her baked potato was very overdone, and she was unable to cut it up and eat the entirety, skins and all. We’d try here again for sure, but the cooks were just a bit off tonight.

Had lunch here. Seemed a bit overpriced but in general good food. Ordered the Elk sirloin, tiny plate and expected better. Salmon was good, but rice pilaf was sticky and over cooked. For this type of restaurant sides should be better. Good Servjce and great ambiance

Honestly was super prized on this restaurant! My wife and I just took a chance and we lucked out!! We were early to dine in but Tracey allowed us to stay and bring us drinks! As it was hot outside! Most places would turn us away and have us wait until it opening time. But she made everything a heck of lot better with amazing service! Plus allowed kids! The food was delicious the burgers and onions rings and Fries my wife had were amazing! We will comeback and hope Tracey is still working here! If you are ever in Ruidoso you must try this place! Cheese cake was amazing and it’s all made in house. An amazing meal. My wife and I are very picking but this place exceeded all expectation!

Way overpriced for the boring food, the wagu hamburger was so tough we didn’t even finish it, the steak was flavorless and too tough to chew. Baked potatoe was hard from being to overcooked and old. And no Dinner Rolls, What??? This is a steakhouse…. atmosphere was not good, it was So quiet in there we had to whisper, why not have some sort of music playing? There was no lighting , too dark And it was way too cold in there to enjoy it . The bus boy rushed people when they were getting ready to leave. I do not recommend this place , go to k-bobs

Stopped in on a weeknight. It wasn’t extremely busy but there was a good amount of people there. We sat at the big bar table. The young gentleman bartending promptly came to the table asking us what he could get for us and had a server help. Everything came out together on time hot and as ordered. Drinks were also made to order and correct. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will be back again.

I got the filet and my husband got the rib-eye. Both the dinners were GREAT! Cooked perfectly! The potatoes that come with the dinners were super delicious! We got the chocolate cake for dessert! Again, super delicious. The service was so good; fast but not too fast. Everyone at this place were very nice to deal with. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

This place had absolutely AMAZING food! Oh my LAWD…. the Spinach Artichoke dip was the hands down best SA dip I’ve ever had in my life. I feel like I can’t eat it anymore UNLESS it’s from here. Its that good. They ruined SA dip from any other place. I live in Texas, and am definitely coming here again when I visit. Fantastic food.
