I am glad I decided to give The Ranchers Club a try since I have meal plan money to burn. It was a little annoying that it was a near two-hour wait on my takeout order, but the staff apologized since they were busy. As I waited, I could see that they were packed and I work in food service myself, so I was not angry. The staff went above and beyond as I waited, such as checking on my order without me asking, and gave a 50% refund since the order took so long. I was impressed that the food was still warm and delicious. I got the fried calamari, a ribeye cooked medium, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake for dessert. The calamari were fried to perfection and the sauce enhanced the flavor even more. The steak was rich in flavor and cooked correctly and was not tough. The mashed potatoes are not a bad option, but they were mediocre to me. I was not a fan of the chewy potato parts in it, but I know it’s a high star restaurant not home. The cheesecake was near perfection with the texture and creaminess, but the crust was bitter and needs more flavor. The cheesecake could use more strawberry syrup as well. Overall, I am excited to eat here again that I made a reservation for next week. Since the takeout menu is limited, I recommend eating in-person to get the full dining experience. This is our favorite restaurant in Stillwater. From the atmosphere to the food and friendly staff it is top notch! We had the joy of celebrating my Mother in Laws 88th birthday at the Ranchers club and they treated her so special and even gave her a little plant to take home! This is a very nice fine dining experience in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University. They have a neat history with well to do alumni donating money to help renovate and upgrade the old club that was more like Chili’s than Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Each Donor also sports their favorite wine stocked by the Club. I normally get the Strip Steak for consistency, and I was pleasantly rewarded with this choice. Expect to pay for this meal, but the price is reasonable for what you are receiving. The Ranch Club is not quite at the level of Nick and Sam’s or Gallagher’s but they try hard and do very well with the food and the service. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Being nice, funny, apologetic and offering a free sampling of dessert really doesn’t change the fact that we paid well over $450 for my mother’s 70th birthday dinner where each part of the meal came out cold and several dishes had to be sent back. Not to mention, we were there for almost 3 hours and the service was incredibly slow.

Was Excited to Experience the Fine Dinning in a Traditional setting. Student Run the whole operation. Lovely Dining Rooms. Nice Menu. Full Bar, Fabulous Wine Selection. We were first service for The Evening. Service was par. Not quite what I’m use to for Fine Dinning. The Rib Eye Steak was prepared to perfection. The Loaded potato was hot creamy and Delicious. The Shrimp was well cooked not rubber. And the Garlic compound butter was a nice treat to the fresh baked bread. Make early reservations place fills fast. Definitely a wonderful place.
