Loved atmosphere, great service(Brittany) and fresh food! All food and drink were very fresh and refreshing! The server recommend seasonal sangria with pineapple and grapefruit and it was divine! The portion of food and sangria were pleasantly generous. Everything tasted good and if they can add something spicy or vinegary to balance sweetness of some of sauces of main dish, it would be perfect. I’m interested in visiting again!

We went at an odd time of day…too late for brunch, too early for dinner. The pros were that we had the place to ourselves. The rooftop setting was delightful, our server was attentive and pleasant, the food and drinks were excellent. The only con was the odd reception, no one there to acknowledge us. We had to make our presence known and all 3 visible employees seemed confused that anyone would be in the open restaurant expecting service. Even when we were leaving we crossed paths with another couple who were at the host stand questioning if anyone would ever come and seat them. I told them, we also had to go up to the bar to get seated and they thanked us for the Intel. Maybe they could put some kind of “ring for service” bell in place if the host doesn’t want to pay attention, or a sign about “see the bartender for service”. It’s not a great first impression. But the food alone would bring us back.

Foodies…have you been to the Prewitt in Plainfield ? I can’t believe we have a restaurant like this out here! Perfect special occasion spot. The atmosphere is so uniquely decorated in what used to be a movie theater. The main floor has a movie on the big screen and there is a bar upstairs and down along with a rooftop that is perfectly shaded. The craft cocktails are to die for – I suggest the espresso martini, the el Diablo or the Tammy. The appetizer – the buretta , melted cheese with marinara /pesto and toasted bread to dip. For dinner the swordfish or the short ribs (the house salad was so amazing) and lastly …. The bread pudding with popcorn ice cream

2nd visit, band canceled (it happenes)but we were sat and never told there wasn’t going to be any entertainment. We ordered food anyway, but it took well over an hour to get our first drinks and almost 2 hours to get our food. Such a shame because the first visit was so great.not worth the over $600 tab. Hope they can get it together

Went for the first time on Valentine’s, so of course it was busy and we did have to wait for our reservation. However, we enjoyed drinks at the upstairs bar while we waited and were not upset (pictured El Diablo-DELISH). The set menu was delicious. The ambiance is so different here and we really liked it for a nice change of scenery. I definitely recommend checking this place out for date night and can’t wait to come back and try the regular menu. The chef really cares about the quality of the food.

THANK YOU ALL so much for making our daughter Emma’s Senior Prom so memorable! She was seated right away with reservations, the meat and cheese appetizer was ready when she arrived to the table and the wait staff were so attentive to her throughout the evening! She felt very special and truly enjoy her entire experience with her friends at the Prewitt!

Me and the girls wanted to try the lunch options. We tried the brunch which was delicious and the lunch did not disappoint. Our waitress Becky was awesome and had great recommendations! The Coffee after Dark drink will put some hair on your chest but it was still good and by the second one you just taste the coffee. For appetizers we tried the grilled brocolini and the short ribs eggroll. The grilled brocolini had a unique taste. The short rib eggroll was to die for, you could definitely get that as your main meal! Then we all tried different sandwiches: CBR sandwhich, Royale with cheese, BBQ short rib sandie. All were delicious and the fries were very well seasoned. To end our experience we got the deserts peanut butter cup, fois gras fried biscuits, and the sticky foot. My personal favorite was the sticky foot. It’s hard to find a good bread pudding but this was was very yummy! The biscuits were okay. Overall, it was a great time, Becky was great, and love all the unique flavors! Can’t wait to try the dinner!!!

Great food, Great service, Great atmosphere. It is literally a vibe, had some drinks El Diablo and the Pardon my sarong. Appetizers short Rib egg rolls and the shrimp cocktail. Main coarse half chicken with bacon jam, potatoes and something with fondue. Hubby got what was featured for that night 28 day aged NY strip dessert fois gra biscuits and the peanut butter cup. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. Will most definitely be returning and letting others know this is a MUST TRY.
