Nice restaurant with reasonably priced menu. The Pamlico Walnut Shrimp was awesome and the NC softshell crab cake sandwich was awesome. Would definitely recommend for a nice lunch date.

The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. It felt comfortable right from the beginning and the food was fantastic. We had the cauliflower caesar salad, french onion soup, lemon caper grouper and pot roast. Everything was delicious! The presentation was well executed and the flavors were expressive. I highly recommend The Prescott if you haven’t had a chance to try it.

It was either a late lunch or an early dinner but we were allowed to choose from either menu. To start, the warm sweet soft bread and butter were wonderful, though we had to request it. The Kale and Goat Cheese salad with Blue Cheese was delicious. The chunk of berry preserves was an odd twist but not a negative. The French Onion soup was good. It was a light meal but a good no. The only negatives would be that the outside furniture looked nasty and some areas could be cleaner.

The moment you walk in, the 5 Star experience begins. The service, food and ambiance are a literal feast for your senses. All tables are preset with white tablecloths, bread plates, rolled cloth napkins that contain a full set of flatware, spotless wine glasses and real flickering oil lights. The ceiling, floor and walls below the chair rail, are very dark which makes a lovely backdrop for the tables. The artwork reinforces their Farm To Table menu and they also have divine seafood options.

Went last night for dinner and ordered the special…Tempura fried NC Trout over Pecan-White cheddar Grits; with brown sugar braised collards & Caper-Tartar Sauce. It was one of the best meals I think I’ve ever had. Followed up with the strawberry cheesecake. Oh let’s not forget the pomegranate martini!! Remember to leave yourself plenty of time because this is not going to be a quick in and out and I would make a reservation because it’s always busy. It’s definitely an experience you need to have!

I’m not sure why this place gets any hype. It’s a restaurant that wants to be fancy, but is lacking in the details that actually makes it fancy. We were there on a Monday night to celebrate a birthday, and there were only 3 tables in the 2 hours we were there. This is our first sign. The atmosphere was cute, but none of the candles on the tables were lit or even filled with fluid. The paper menus were wrinkly and gross…. and not the same as posted online. They were out of shrimp and scallops, so the “seafood risotto” was salmon over rice. The food was over cooked, over spiced and not very good. The service was nice, but super slow, considering there weren’t any tables and they were very pricey for what you get. The walnut shrimp was really over fried and tasted like frozen shrimp. The blackened salmon ($27) was over cooked, the sauce was super spicy, it was missing the shrimp, and it came with three pieces of asparagus and nothing else. The cheesecake was delicious though. Really wanted to like this place, but won’t be returning. Also, look up the sanitation rating before you go,Should not be below a 95.

This is a wonderful local gem. I just wish we just had tried the restaurant sooner.

Date night turned bad. Food tasted great, but probably only had the chef with no help. Server doing the best she could as hostess, bartender and waitress. Took 1.5 hrs to get main dishes to the table. Good but not worth the hassle. Try Out West steak house. More “chain” but definitely more bang for the money. Our bill was $150 before tip. For dinner…that was ok but took 1.5 hours. Lort!

Wish I’d seen the grade before I ate there. Entrées not offered at lunch. I asked for bread, not generally served at lunch but they offered to microwave some for me? Corn chowder was cold and I was nauseous after eating it. I assume it was old and not microwaved long enough. Sandwiches were fine, fries were excellent. Going there for the price overall regrettable. Won’t go again.

Saturday night dinner date. Atmosphere was lovely and the waitress was great. The menu is well thought out however the execution killed it. The corn chowder was so salty I couldn’t eat it, also seemed to be made with canned corn based on the texture. The “lobster” bisque and dip have one TINY piece of actual lobster meat placed on top or in the bottom of the bowl. bruschetta was so hard it was almost impossible to bite into. The kitchen was out of many items including mashed potatoes. Instead they served my pork chop on undercooked instant white rice with zero seasoning. My date had to have her steak re made because it was over cooked. Very disappointing.
