SO GOOD. I had the pork rib mac and cheese with the spicy bourbon bbq sauce and it was incredible. The cornbread crumbles on top are amazing.

Super disappointed with the service this evening. We were so excited to take my parents to Parkville Market for the first time to introduce them to some of the best bbq in New England. While we were ordering the man taking our order said we were holding him up because we were taking too long to order. I get it if you’re busy, but this really took us by surprise because customer service has always been super amazing in the past. We should have just walked away after his comment to us but we still placed an order. Please treat your customers better in the future.

I love thier pork ribs, I their garlic mashed potatoes and garlic green beans even more. The homemade gravy for the mashed potatoes is too die for. I can literally drink it it’s so good. It reminds me of my Grandma’s, and she was born and lived in the south. If you like bears you’re going to love the Portly pig. Also, I prefer PP’s smoked wings over Bear’s smokehouse. I will be returning and probably on some occasions just to order the sides, lol.

Awesome fall day perfect for some outdoor dining at Parkville market. My choice was the Portly Pig amazing pulled pork with coleslaw and spicy beans over grilled corn bread. I went with the spicy bourbon sauce it was perfect just the right amount of kick. The pulled pork was melt in your mouth awesome, spicy beans were on point, coleslaw was perfectly dressed and added the right amount of crunch. I did mention this was all heaped on top of delicious grilled scratch made cornbread right? I noticed they had a dessert menu if you can resist Smoked chocolate bourbon bread pudding you have more willpower than I do. You also would have missed out on a truly sensational dessert. It was as my southern friends would say so good it makes you want to slap your Mama sorry for the iPhone pics tough in bright sun

Barbara was very nice helping me plan our company summer party, and Johnathan prepared a delicious barbecue meal for us. Everything was excellent and everyone took home a to-go container with their favorite dish. Thanks from the R&R crew.

Finally made it to Parkville Market — an amazing food hall with a great vibe. Unfortunately, our food choice fell way short. The brisket cheesesteak sandwich was awful. The brisket pieces were edible alone, although nothing like Bear’s. However the slop of overcooked peppers and onions glued together with liquid cheese on top made the whole thing taste horrible.

The Portly Pig catered a surprise birthday party in our backyard this past weekend. We wanted a whole pig roast – and they brought the smoker to our house, what a great experiential piece for a fun event! The team was friendly and helpful, and Chef Jonathan was so passionate and knowledgeable about the art of the smoker and the pieces of the pig. All of our guests went back for seconds and thirds – order extra for leftovers! Mac & cheese, cole slaw, roasted veggies were all a hit too. Barbara was great to work with to plan the event, very accessible and understanding. Highly recommend!

The food is amazing! I’ve been a fan of theirs forever, but the delivery service has consistently forgot (four orders in a row) to include utensils. I’ve specified in the notes, I’ve checked the “Utensils” box in Uber Eats, etc.

Ordered the 1/2 lb brisket and definitely did not receive a 1/2 lb. I cook for myself enough to know what a 1/2 lb of meat is and get filled to my throat when i try to eat 1/2 lb. After ordering the brisket, I ended up ordering some chicken because I was still hungry.
