First time there and definitely will be going back. Very friendly staff to help you. Restaurant was very clean and with the atmosphere of New Orleans decor. Ordered the oyster basket with cheese sticks as an appetizer to go Great meal for the price. Going back on Sunday morning for breakfast.

Great food at this place! Got to try the Seafood Gumbo and a Shrimp Po-boy and both were delicious. Only issue right now is that they are cash only which is inconvenient.

Tried this place out with my wife and we loved it. We started with fried green tomatoes which were incredible with the home made honey mustard sauce. We split the Hot Ham and Cheese (with Swiss) po-boy and it was REALLY good and huge, good thing we split it. We also had the red beans and rice and the only problem we had with them is we should have got a large because the were VERY tasty and between my wife and I they went fast! Great little place for a good meal. We will definitely be back!

I had the seafood gumbo and it was delicious. My daughter had chicken and fries and they were juicy and flavorful. Good home made Cajun cooking. Temple needed this. I can’t wait to go back. The staff are very attentive and so friendly. Everyone is happy and positive. If you want some good Cajun home cooking, this is where it’s at!!!

Good, authentic Cajun food. Fresh fried catfish, shrimp and oyster basket was very tasty, well-seasoned. Some of the oysters were very chewy and one was downright tough. Side of jambalaya was unimpressive, mainly rice with a few bits of chicken and sausage. Slaw was very tasty. Overall good, not great, and far less crowded than The Catch a mile away. Try it out.

Good food. Exceptional customer service. Always clean. Family friendly. Reasonable prices. Authentic cajun food for the cultured pallet. Cindy has always created a lively atmosphere everywhere she goes and this definitely reflects in her business as well. Saints fans! I am looking forward to ice cold beers with the biggest, loudest, rowdiness saints fans in Central Texas.

Thought I would give this place a try. Aside from the wait for my food, I was okay. I had the 1/2 shrimp po boy. Good except the shrimp was too salty. I had to do a double take and make sure it wasn’t catfish. All in all for their second day, 4 stars equates to 5 for everyone else. Keep it up guys!

Love the shrimp po-boy! The batter is salty and fried up super crisp. Very generous serving of shrimp and soft, french bread. Redans and rice and sweet potato fries also very yummy! Hubby had a jambalaya, but was not super impressed.

Oh my gosh! Where to begin!? I don’t usually eat cajun or southern food, so I was a little hesitant, but my boyfriend insisted that I try the food here. I was very impressed by this unassuming restaurant. I tried the Red Beans and Rice, Chicken and Sausage gumbo, Jambalaya, cole slaw, and a very intricate potato salad. (I shared). To begin, I have always disliked potato salad and cole slaw, no matter where I’ve had them. Not only was this the best of both that I’ve tried, but I thoroughly enjoyed them and ate more than my share. I’m not a big fan of mayo, and it didn’t overwhelm these two sides. The recipes are unique and the flavors blend very well together. The gumbo was just the right consistency and flavor, and she is very generous with her meat. The red beans and rice had a rich smoky flavor, but again it didn’t overwhelm the whole dish. And the Jambalaya was decent and well-seasoned. I also really liked the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. There is jazz/cajun music in the background playing, which also added a nice touch. I’m looking forward to coming back. I would recommend bringing cash (although there is an ATM on site.)

Service is good. Food even better. Beer is always cold. The best thing is you can bring your own bottle any night of the week. Sunday football is mandatory for saints fans. Every Saints game is on when they play
