My daughters and I ordered delivery from The Pit Lounge on a whim and we were SO impressed. The 2 meat plate came with good portions. The brisket was mouth watering, it was gone fast! The baked beans were classic southern style sweet and savory with bits of meat & brown sugar flavor. The Mac n cheese was simple but delicious.

Really, really good barbecue. We got a variety of options and all were great. The Pit Rolls are split the long way and dressed with sauce, so they get a little finicky. Great flavors throughout.

Not particularly welcoming. There was o ly one other table occupied. Bartender made no conversation at all. Suggested tip starts at 25% then up. For that I expect some actual service. Ordered ribs and brisket, I got ribs and dry chicken. Ribs and side dishes were great.

Food was excellent, service was friendly and fast, and the overall environment was relaxed and comfortable. Awesome experience. Owner was also very friendly and made the food himself. It was delicious. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy this hidden gem!

We love the original papio pit. This is the first time we have been here since they added the lounge. The lounge is very nice, my family noted how comfortable the chairs are, everything in here looks new.The food was excellent. This may be the best brisket sandwhich that I’ve had in Omaha, and it came out quicker than we expected. They have a nice bar and dart room. The table near the patio area may not be you first choice if you want to keep warm. I’m going to have to bring my crew back for lunch…and maybe a beverage after work.update: the first visit (above) was great, a few times after that service and quality seemed to have gone down. But today was much better and service was great all the food was tasty and cooked well. The spicy BBQ sauce is ok but seems to be missing something. We were there at noon and there was only Two tables occupied…
