I waited 20 minutes for my food with nobody else having food taken out and almost no noise in the kitchen aside from conversation. The giant rolls are no longer existent and the prices have gone up drastically to the point where everything is almost too expensive to make sense. The sandwiches fell apart and had to be reconstructed (especially the grilled chicken pesto) and the club sandwich did not have toasted bread, which is a staple of the club, and there are better sandwiches to be eaten elsewhere – definitely not worth the price. The fries were soft and some were even soggy. They look as though they are old fries that have been heated up multiple times. It’s a shame to see the new owners taking what was once a good thing and making it more for the money rather than the community. I had high hopes and expected it to stay nearly the same cozy restaurant that it used to be but it seems as though it’s becoming just another business to the new owners. I definitely will not be coming back for a long time, I am extremely disappointed.

The pie dump has been a staple in the community, I think, this year for 100 years. So obviously, that right there proves what a yummy restaurant it has been. This time, I had biscuits and gravy it was excellent, and donut holes that lasted me a while and were delicious. I will always highly recommend them! They have big things coming up ahead that they’re going to announce. I will continue to support their business, and you never leave disappointed. They also have a perfect spot where you can do work if you can work remotely. I give them 5 stars!

Went back today after a few months, just as good. Had the “small plate” which was one of their awesome rolls and a scoop of mashed potatoes and their amazing brown gravy. Everything was great and Ashley and Cindy made the visit even better.

I got their new breakfast burger and strawberry smoothie! Everything is so yummy and cooked so well! It’s been so fun seeing the new owners bring new things to the menu while still embracing the pie dumps historic hot rolls!

Great Gravy!! No I mean it, they have great gravy! I saw they were reviewed on DDD and since I was in the area (not really but what’s 30 miles or so) I decided to give them a try. I went in for some donuts and Megan offer me a “Gravy Roll”, who am I to turn down something with that name. I’m glad I didn’t. The roll was very tender and had a nice buttery surprise in the center. Yes, a vein of buttery goodness was in the middle of the roll. The gravy was brown, hot and had a great flavor. The traditional way to eat this is to tear up the roll and dunk, so, I did. Wow, the tender buttery roll with the hot gravy served in my fingers worked. I was full and so did not try anything else on the menu but did get a dozen donuts to go to try back at my hotel.

Heard about this place on the food channel, so we thought we would try it out. The cheeseburgers were good. The cinnamon rolls were some of the largest I have ever seen and absolutely delicious! My only negative comment would be to modernize the place a bit. The price was very reasonable for what we purchased.

A lot of people saw it coming, but it’s sad to say that the pie dump isn’t what it used to be. We just left there. We went for their hot rolls and gravy. The giant peel apart rolls are no longer and the gravy cups we got were just over 1/4 full. I hope things can change and go back to the way they were. I’ve met with the new owner during the transition to offer him a cleaning service and he was polite but it looks like they are changing menu items to save cost rather than keeping them traditional. The munns had a recipe for bringing people in and keep them coming back, this attracted many review companies and one guy fieri of diners drive-ins and dives. I just hope things can go back before people start to think of this place as a has-been rather than a go-to.

Horrible! The service was friendly, but that’s about the only reason for a star.

The food was fair, I liked it but my wife didn’t (we had the same meal). We had rolls and gravy. The rolls were soft, possibly a little smaller than they used to be and the gravy was good but my wife liked the darker gravy that they used to have. The waitress was nice and helpful. Unfortunately they allowed a group of friends of the waitress to congregate around the front next to the seating area and ordering register where the waitress was. This was a very uncomfortable situation. They also appeared to let a person, who didn’t work there, behind the counter and try to help a customer to get a glass of water. This person didn’t know how to get the water or ice and wouldn’t ask the waitress, who was in the back. She eventually came out front and helped the customer. I think more professionalism would greatly improve the place.

I heard that this place has new management. They all seem pretty new, as they didn’t know what half the menu items were. Either way, they ended up figuring it out eventually and got the food out to us. The fried potato hash browns were really delicious and the gravy there packs a punch. The donuts were really what shined the most though. We ordered a Bavarian Oreo donut and it was crispy, soft, and sweet. It took about 30 min to get our food, but they apologized and gave each of us (4 people) a free donut of our choice. Amazing customer service. They’re still learning, but their kindness made up for it!
