The first steps into this place are great. The Atmosphere is unmatch. The bar looks amazing, the decor is tasteful and the lighting is perfect for an after work rendezvous. The beer selection is fantastic with several local favorites along with your normal domestic fair.

This was our first time at The Peanut, and we weren’t sure if six wings were enough for the both of us. Our waitress, Kalista was very sweet and helpful. The wings only took about 20-30 minutes and it was worth it. Not only was six wings enough for 2 of us, since one of us was on a diet, but they were the best wings we have ever had. My 14 year olds favorite restaurant used to be Buffalo Wild Wings, but he said we can never go anywhere else for wings again except The Peanut! They were so good we had to go meet the cook, Sophie. We had to tell her just how great her wings really were. If you have not tried wings at The Peanut, then you simply don’t know what you’re missing.

I ordered a chicken, bacon, and avocado salad to go. The waitresses told me to ask the bartender. He walked over and said, “Carryout order.” I replied yes and gave my name. Those were the only words spoken. It wasn’t a friendly atmosphere. The bag didn’t have any plastic utensils, napkins, or salt. My kitchen cabinets are being repainted, so the frames are sealed off and had wet primer on them. I had to dig through stacked trays to find silverware. The chicken was bland and needed salt, but I couldn’t get in the cabinets. The cucumbers were cut way too thick, so I cut them up. The Peanut on 127th and Metcalf is much better. I ordered the same thing there a week ago, and it was delicious. They were also friendly and considerate on Metcalf. It is very rare that I leave a bad review. The only good thing was that it was ready in 10 minutes. Perhaps a few more minutes of prep would have made a difference.

Great little place for a quick drink, lunch or to watch a big game. Ample selection of beers on tap, mostly local, and nice variety of specialty drinks. Most known for jumbo wings bit most food offerings are tasty and priced fairly. Definitely will come back.

Went for the wings, saw on Fridays they have Fish-n-chips, was not disappointed in that! The coleslaw was a miss but the rest was well done. Seat yourself seating gets awkward with large crowds so be aware of that.

I’m usually a big fan of this place. This night it was a mixed experience. I had the BLT (extra bacon), which was great. A companion ordered the charred wings for the table. Not a fan of that. They just tasted burned.

The Peanut is one of our favorite hangouts in Olathe! We go there at least once a week (sometimes 3-4 times a week) and have eaten probably at least half of everything on the menu. It doesn’t matter if you go for brunch, lunch or dinner, the food is always delicious, and here’s a pro-tip – they have some of the best breakfast in the area, hands down!
