The Pauline Cafe has GREAT food and very friendly staff. We try and eat here on Sundays after church if we can get a table and it is always delicious. My favorite is her dressing and squash casserole. Hands down my favorite place to eat

I stopped in as I passed by to pick up a meal for my husband at work. He called a bite into his double cheeseburger and had to tell me how awesome it was!! We are considering the Pauline/Roebuck area for a new home and this would definitely become a spot for a quick bite.

Stopped in to try The Pauline Cafe and the ladies who run this place have the best fried chicken and sides I have ever had, hands down!! Very friendly staff and everything I had was amazing! The banana pudding was fantastic! Next time I will have to come and sit down! Definitely will come again for some Sunday dinner!

I lived in San Antonio for a few years. While there, I fell in love with breakfast tacos. Until I found Hwy 56 Cafe, I simply got my taco fix when I went back to Texas for work or to visit my wife’s family. Lyle Lovett once said, “never eat Mexican food east of Mississippi, or north of Dallas.” Normally I agree with this, as there just isn’t any place around here that serves anything remotely like I had in Texas. I’ve been let down by so many establishments that were supposedly authentic. Just remember, if the tortillas aren’t homemade, it isn’t authentic. If you don’t know what homemade tastes like…visit Hwy 56 Cafe for a taste of San Antonio. Bonus…The owners are from SA. For those curious about price…only $1.50 per taco. Such a great deal for amazing food and exceptional service. My search for good Mexican in SC has finally ended.
