There is nothing like this in this area. So it is needed in this area. Food was good. We got there close to closing and they were very accommodating and we still add access to full menu. The hot corn beef and pastrami were good. The rye bread could have been better. It was crumbly and the crust was very soft. The side of Cole slaw was very small. Comes with a sour dill pickle and you have to pay for a whole half sour pickle if you dont want sour. The half sour was very rubbery ..no crunch at all. We are used to Richard’s deli with lots of choices of complimentary pickles and side salads. Good selections of bottled sodas and diet. They do not have any ice. We will go back to try other choices.

Came in to Pastrami House for breakfast. Got a pastrami egg and cheese on a roll. It was awesome. I’m usually a pork roll guy, but I wanted to try the pastrami! It was an awesome change of pace. Huge sandwich, pastrami is super tender and flavorful. I also got a container of pastrami hash to take home (with potatoes, peppers, pastrami) which is better than the cans of hash at the grocery store . Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Store is clean and well maintained. Look forward to coming back for lunch. Extensive menu with lots of options to try (including Juniors cheesecakes)

Very nice and friendly staff on site and the inside is very well accommodating. They have a nice selection of food to choose from as well as that delicious dr. Brown’s soda, I recommend the black cherry. The food is reasonably priced and they give you a very Hardy portion that will leave you satisfied. All the signs and soups are also very appealing. As well I do enjoy looking at the food they have in the display cases.

Brisket sandwich, very good. Others with me had corned beef and turkey club. All very good. Next time going to try peppers and eggs.

Food is good but WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY over priced. Some nerve charging $7 for a pint of broth (aka Matza ball soup) and $15 for a sandwich (with a pickle and a tsp of coleslaw).

Discovered The Pastrami House in Jackson, NJ. It’s been a while since my friend had a pastrami sandwich so I figured We’d give it a go. The store was very clean, food behind the glass was very presentable and the smell was wonderful. This is the first Knish my friend has had since 1975; and, he said it was great The pastrami sandwich was very good also. I had the Hebrew National Hot Dog. It came with steak fries. I thought the hot dog was very good and different from a hot dog I’d make at home. I didn’t expect it to fill me up; but, it did. I will definitely order it again. Give this new Jackson eatery a try.

Not one to bash places for there food but I Purchased two junior hot corn beef sandwiches and a order of kanish. Maybe I should have went with the pastrami because the corn beef sandwich was nothing I’d go back for. Chewy and fatty. At $10.95 a sandwich it would be nice to enjoy it and not be hungry after eating what was edible . Nice guy working the front counter. I know you can’t control the cut as you say in previous comments and you weigh everything but it would be nice to have less fat and more meat. Thanks for trying .

You have to try the pastrami ruben. It was delicious, by far one of the best pastrami I ever had.

My husband and I were both very disappointed with our sandwiches. I don’t belive the “overstuffed” is worth the money! The pastrami was lacking flavor, way to tough, more fat than meat. Even then though pastrami needs some fat to be really tender & tasty not like this!!! If I couldn’t get to Harold’s in Edison for a GREAT pastrami sandwich I would rather go ANYWHERE else!!!!
