We had a wonderful time here last night. My husband first job was right here. Our server John has worked here for 46 years and reveled in stories with my husband about the olden days here at the Benson Hotel. I’m always in awe of the majestic beauty of this building. I felt safe from the riff raff of the streets and welcomed. They really make you feel at home. I’ll be honest and say, the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I was served the worst kamikaze I’ve ever had. I even sent it back to be corrected, and it still tasted horrible. The other drink I tried was not made well either, unfortunately. They really need to step it up with their mixers or muddling skills. Overall, it was a great evening with lots of laughter.

I had breakfast in the Palm Court. It was a straightforward American scramble. Food was good and service was as attentive and quick. The main draw for this place is definitely the space itself. The open Benson lobby space is unique and light filled during the breakfast hours. I will have to come back for a drink or dinner!

Wow, what an awesome place. The historic decor and the service are amazing, not to mention the quality of the food. They make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive, and keep checking on your table for the duration of your visit. John was fantastic. Very nice, but not stuffy, his place is a gem inside the Benson Hotel. Whether stopping by for a full meal, or just for drinks, this is a must see place if in the area. Comfortable, casual and reasonably priced, it’s hard to beat.

I went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. The service was friendly and I had a nice limoncello Martini as an aperitif.

The food is a solid 4/5 but if you have accessibility needs just go somewhere else. The door to the accessible entrance where locked and we just happened to be there when a maintenance person saw our group trying to get in.

Great food and service. Not fast food but a dining experience. For lunch I had chicken, asparagus with french fries. Back again and having a steak.

Beautiful little lounge of a bygone era with rich paneled wood, dim lighting, often live music, and an excellent waitstaff. A great place to step back in time and experience a lounge built when care went into construction.

Didn’t have the best experience with the hospitality at this hotel but the palm court for breakfast was the positive exception.

Superb breakfast experience. The staff is personable, friendly, and the manager came over to introduce himself – having worked here for 41 years.
