HOW is this place not packed?!! We were on our way home from a tax appointment that we ended up needing to wait for, so we were super hungry so got the breadsticks and THESE are what breadsticks should be, along with the garlic butter sauce. I mmmm’d my way through almost the whole thing trying to keep some back for my husband. And then. AND THEN. I got my chicken bacon ranch sub and when I tell you I kept telling my husband after every bite how amazing it was. Words just couldn’t describe how good it was!

I had the loaded salad, bone in wings, and personal pizza. I liked the ranch dressing and it had all kinds of toppings in the salad, it was very enjoyable. The sweet chili sauce on the wings was very nice, just wish the wings were fried more. They had no breading which is the way I like it. The pizza was alright it could have been cooked a little longer, it had very thin dough bottom and not crispy. It was not a thin crust pizza. I wound not mind eating there again and trying more things.

Ok my daughter went to get wings from this place and they shorted her two wings. They apparently closed by time she got home and realized,so I called the next day. I spoked to the owner and told her and she chuckled like you called here for two wings?? It’s not about the wings it’s the principle if I pay for 12 wings that’s what I want not 10.She never apologize d and said well when you order again I’ll throw a couple extra in the box!! Lady Y’all won’t get another dime from us until your employee s learn how to count!!

The service is a little slow, but I give them a pass because it is just one person. They also seem to be waiting tables along with back house work. The food is amazing! The atmosphere is a start up, but the food makes up for it.

I don’t get to come to Owensboro often, however, I’m thankful I did today. Hands down The Oven is the best pizza I’ve had in town or the surrounding area. It was reasonably priced and made to near perfection. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone that likes pizza.

When traveling, we like to try local restaurants instead of a chain. We ordered the deluxe pizza. According to the owner, the pizza dough is handmade every morning. The ingredients were in proportion. The flavor of the sauce was excellent. The staff was friendly and appropriately attentive. Would definitely recommend and if in the area will visit again.
