Visited Pizza Sam for the first time. The pizza was amazing. By far, the best I’ve had in Virginia. Maybe ever. Reminds me of NYC. They make it right in front of you. The employees are super friendly. It’s worth every penny. Will definitely return. We got the lasagna pizza & meat lovers.

Would give 100 stars for this amazing place. Have never had better pizza in my life. Excellent customer service. Great prices. I’ll never eat pizza anywhere else again. Only thought to get pictures after we had already eaten. We have also eaten here at lunch and bought the pizza by the slice. Amazing atmosphere.

Hands down the best pizza in Hampton Roads. Sam is also a great dude if you get a chance to speak with him. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Fresh ingredients and overall an A+ experience. 100% worth the trip to check out this incredible pizza joint!

I called The original pizza Sam and asked him if he made a stromboli. He said yes and that his stromboli feeds up to four people. I could tell that he was from New York so I ordered and went there to pick up my food. I got there and ordered an Antipasta salad. My stromboli was going into the oven. The staff was very friendly . The atmosphere was nice. I took photos . The restaurant was clean. I took my food home and it was great. I highly recommend this place!!

First time here so I tried the cheese and pepperoni. (They had about 5 or 6 pre-made pies for slices.) Everything was spot on: great crust cooked through, ample sauce and cheese, and plentiful thinly sliced peppperoni. They have free-flowing Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and red pepper flakes on all of the tables – you don’t have to ask, or get only tiny packets. The chairs and tables are red metal so they aren’t very comfy, but they go with the old school vibe. The photo montage on the wall presumably of decades of family businesses was a highlight. No beer available this trip, but it looks like they might be applying for a permit for allowing beer on the premises for special occasions? (I didn’t understand the permit jargon.) The menu had many items that were no longer available, so selection is slim, but if it’s NY style pizza you want, you won’t be disappointed!

Epic NY pie! Spice pepperoni and amazing cheese blend spanning across 18 glorious inches of crust. Foldable and delicious! Highly recommend trying it! Bring the family or take it Togo!

as a new york native, finding an authentic NY slice is hard to do in virginia. funny thing is I was referred to this shop by my allergist. the moment i took a bite of that slice, i was transported back home. the garlic knots were to die for, i knew i found a slice of heaven (pun intended) and I want everyone to know!

My husband, son and I went here for Sunday dinner and it was delicious! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. You feel at home. We got a Sicilian pizza and an antipasto salad to share and it was amazing. We definitely have leftovers.

The pizza and garlic knots are excellent. The entertainment of the people who work here is great. To listen and watch them make pizza let’s you know they love what they do. My only regret is they are here in Virginia and I live in Indiana.

The Sicilian (square) is pretty good it reminds me of Jets pizza but good. The round is just okay. I would say overpriced for pizza but being from out of town worth a try.
