Great home style cookin, very familiar yet refined. Enjoyed the Bob’s Your Uncle dry cider – super tasty. Shepherds pie was rich and savory, fish and chips had proper batter, proper cook, proper crunch – a very rare combination. Really wonderful spot with a nice staff.

This is a great place to come watch a soccer match or just come for dinner. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the beer selection is well curated. I highly recommend visiting this pub, which is probably the best pub in Jonesborough.

Their food is AMAZING! Best cottage pie I’ve had since my childhood, and their fish and chips are just insanely good. The service is friendly and comfortable, and the pub itself is very cute! Absolute recommend for anyone visiting Jonesborough.

First time visiting, hoping to have some typical English food. I had fish and chips, very good. Loved the fries. Also had sausage rolls. First time I have ever had sesame seeds on them. Never had that before, had to scrape them off!! The roll was very good though. Will be back.

My husband and I are visiting Jonesborough for the Heritage Fair. The landlord at the bed and breakfast where we were staying recommended The Opossum’s Tale. We were impressed with the place. The pub is clean, the staff are courteous, friendly, and efficient. The food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. The Opossum’s Tale will be a stop for us every time we come to Jonesborough.
