The Old School is a place like no other. It began life as an actual school in 1871 & was converted into a restaurant in the 1950’s. A large bar area was added in the 1980’s but was never actually opened until 2022! It is now open & is proud to provide the area a destination to enjoy with friends & family. There is plenty of outside seating & parking, as well as a banquet room that is available to rent for private parties. It’s hard to imagine that in the crazy busy, fast paced world we live in that a place like The Old School exists! Best Burgers in Green Lake County!! Went here in June visiting family in Berlin. The few “extra bucks” you may pay for these burgers is absolutely worth it! Most meat dollar for dollar in the area! Smash burger style – great char and flavor. Took a little longer from the kitchen, but forgivable. Pizzas looked incredible too and are popular enough they sell out of many toppings, even on a Monday! Happy and excited this place is here, kinda needed in the Berlin/Green Lake area. They take CC and Debit, ample parking out back, also seems like a great place for a Packer game. Order at the bar only – no table service. Maybe that’ll change ♂️. Will definitely return on future visits to WI. Congrats to the owners!

It was a great experience from the amazing food, service and drinks! Say on the outside patio so the kids could play outside, had probably the best burger (dropout burger) and pizza. Bloody Mary was a homemade mix and was really good. We will be back for sure!

The Chainsaw Shack
No debit card taken there so you have to use their atm. That’s a 3 dollar charge to use that plus what my bank will charge. No phone signal there and no wifi. Got a burger and fries with one beer . $19.25 plus debit charges n tip. Most expensive burger I’ve had in a very long time. Probably pass on returning. Also adding only thing on menu I was given was 2 hamburgers. No other offerings.
