Stopped in without a reservation and was immediately seated (we visited as soon as they opened so this might not be common). The staff was very friendly and set our table and were incredibly professional. Loved the decor and ambiance. My wife and I enjoyed our cocktails. The mojito had freshly picked mint leaves from their garden.

I have been to Old Edgefield Grill with girlfriends and had a great experience, but I had never been with my hubby. We decided to go for my birthday and I’m so glad we did. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old home right off the square in Edgefield, SC. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic night out. We started off with a shared appetizer of their Bangin’ Shrimp Bites. The chicken bites were juicy and tender with a lovely, slightly spicy sauce. We ordered the Chicken Marsala and Country Fried Steak as our entrees. Both were delicious and plentiful. Chicken Marsala is a favorite of mine and this may have been the best I’ve ever had. I had enough to enjoy it again for lunch the next day. My hubs Country Fried Steak was so tender he could cut it with a fork. It was accompanied with creamy mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. The service was impeccable. Our meal with a glass of wine and tip was under $80. The only thing that might add to the experience would be soft music in the background. We will definitely add OEG to our favorites list!

Food was good. Nice atmosphere. Hostess/waitress was in high speed. Took our orders fast and brought the bill as soon as we put our forks down. Didn’t ask if we wanted another drink or coffee after our meal. I’m assuming they don’t have dessert because we we weren’t offered any.

If you’re looking for a nice, friendly, relaxing atmosphere with awesome food.. The Old.Edgefield Grille is the place to go. I recommend it for a nice romantic setting as well as a great family gathering. Makesure to call ahead for reservations. Great place for an awesome dinner or lunch.
