Awesome dinner! Appetizers, entrees, and dessert were absolute dynamite. Our waitress was extremely friendly, quick, knowledgeable, and chatted with us just like we were old friends. The environment is also super laid back and chill no feeling of being rushed. The prices are definitely worth every part of it.

My fiance and I received gift cards as a Valentine’s gift. I had never been before, much less heard of The Oak before. We both were blown away. Everything was exceptional. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer with Caesar and house salads. I had the New York Strip and she had the Filet Mignon. Our vegetables were tri-colored carrots with seasoned kale; she had roasted potatoes and I had sweet potato mash. All around the best meal I’ve ever had. The staff was very accommodating when I had to change our reservation. In my opinion, they set the standard for fine dining. While The Oak is an expensive experience compared to our normal dining preferences, it is absolutely worth it to make include them in your special occasions. I very much want to go back!

My fiance and I dined here for his birthday this past weekend and we were both incredibly impressed. He had the roasted duck with cranberry glaze, roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. I had the WV Trout, roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. We shared a small bowl of the loaded baked potato soup and an order of the fried green tomatoes. Everything was full of flavor. They used the right amount of spices on everything and it was all cooked to perfection. Our waitress was incredibly hospitable and kind. Very polite and very well versed on the items on the menu. It is a very classy establishment. We will definitely be back to dine here again!!!

This little gem is like finding a diamond in the middle of the woods..elequant and find dining at its best. The owners and staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a remarkable experience. Chef Sarah and her staff make sure the food is superior quality and comes out perfect. It is on the higher side in pricing, but you get what you pay for as anywhere. If you want great food and fine food and to eat like you are a king or queen, then this is your place.

There aren’t enough stars to rate this amazing place. First of all, the 600 year old Oak Tree out front is breathtaking. Then you enter this beautiful restaurant and are greeted by the great staff. We enjoyed an incredible view from our table, and our server, Candace, was so informative and personable, and gave us top notch service. A complete bar selection with any kind of liquor you would ever want is available. The entrees were all top notch, and so delicious, served with farm fresh veggies. And my favorite of all, a dessert menu to die for. They have an on site pastry Chef and I have never had better creme brulee anywhere! All in all, I would highly recommend this dining experience, and we will be going back soon to Pipestem Resort National Park and another incredible meal at The Oak. I can hardly wait. The photo is the view from our table, which in itself is worth the trip.

My food was excellent. I do however feel the appetizers are all over priced compared to the portion size. My $14 beef egg roll was a $8 appetizer at best. Service was prompt and friendly. It has a beautiful atmosphere.

The food and ambience of this wonderful restaurant is very elegant and yet, I felt like I was at home. Our waitress, Emily, is very kind and when she brought out the creme brûlée, she added a candle because it was my birthday, it made it even more special. The dish was absolutely amazing and the flavors all went perfectly together. The pasta was cooked to my liking; the squash and zucchini were tender; the shrimp were also tangy and tender while the sauce brought it all together. The fried oysters were so very tender and delicately seasoned.

I came with some friends for dinner from an archery tournament in Pipestem. Right off greeting was good, but all of us weren’t able to sit together. There were 7 of us. 4 of Our friends left, apparently from something their waitress said. I3 of us stayed and I ordered a New York strip steak medium well. It came to the table medium rare. The new york strip had a lot of gristle, and improperly cooked. The waitress said they could put it back on the grill and cook it more. I feel a $57.00 piece of meat should be cooked properly the first time. I wasn’t able to finish it. I tried to tuff it out but after about half I didn’t even desire to. They didn’t offer to make amends in any way. You can’t put a piece of meat already eaten off on ” back on the grill” . Maybe in my back yard, but not in a restaurant.
