Absolutely the worst breakfast I’ve gotten anywhere! Cafeteria food at school was better. I took one bite of eggs. They were scrambled but extremely slimy. Took one bite of my toast. It was cold & hard as a rock. Waitress did not apologize or deduct anything from the bill even though neither my wife or I ate our food. Got billed $20 for 2 orange juices. Definitely will not go back & certainly won’t recommend this place!! Pretty sad when you cannot properly make eggs & toast!! Fire the cook. BTW, menu was clearly designed to please only the owner & cook!! Clearly a young yuppie hangout. Better off going anywhere else but the Nook!!!!

I have had a handful meals at The Nook and all have been absolutely wonderful. The food is great, the menu provides a nice variety, great portions, and the restaurant decor and overall ambiance is adorable and welcoming. I’ve talked with the owner on a few occasions regarding the restaurant and her story – Her love and vision for The Nook is so clear. She has worked so hard to make The Nook what it is today. Wish I could give this place 10/5 stars – What a little slice of paradise.

The Nook is a welcome addition to Lewistown. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming and it has that modern/farmhouse feel which I like. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. But that all pales in comparison to the food. Everything I have eaten there has been incredible. They offer a well rounded and appropriately sized menu ranging from your classic burgers to power bowls. I would definitely recommend The Nook.

Best food I’ve had in Lewistown by far! I moved here from a big city and I’m grateful I have a delicious place to go for breakfast and lunch! My goal has been to try everything on the menu. My personal favorite for breakfast so far is The Kitchen Sink. And The Nebraska Burger for lunch. The eggs are delicious!!

Please take this a constructive criticism. I understand that this is a new establishment but I have never seen a restaurant that served the people the same table at different times. Also, the wait staff needs to be continuously be checking for customers drinks being empty, offering refills especially after waiting beyond a half hour 45 minutes….and paying attention to when people are finished and bringing the check. After 2 hours of being there and being cold and hungry my daughter asked if her stomach could punch someone in the face… “She’s 12”. If you want to succeed you must make some changes. It might be fun right now but whoever is in charge needs to pay attention to their patrons. I literally almost walked out. If my husband was there with us we would have. Not being rude but out of sheer lack of attention to detail will make you fail. Also… Your cook needs to learn how to cook an egg considering my 12 yr old can do it better. She asked for over easy…. there was zero yolk and couldn’t cut it with a fork. She couldn’t eat her breakfast and I took her to Walmart where she bought donuts to eat. Please take this as help to make things better and not as a bad thing.

ASK WHAT IS IN THE FOOD YOU ORDER!! I know that every place is different and has different recipes, but generally if there are greens in my eggs it because I ordered a veggie omelette. I was not prepared for what i gathered must have been parsley flakes in my eggs; I love love love salt, so when i say the bacon was too salty you can imagine what i mean; also they potatoes i order came out completely the opposite of what was ordered, the waitress was apologetic and had them “fixed” but they were grilled and not deep fried so still didn’t get it right! How could i tell… I could taste the char scraped off the grill mixed in with them. I would have loved to rinse the taste out of my mouth but the coffee was so bitter it just made everything worse. I was so excited to visit “the new place in town.” My family told me of the great food, however this was not my experience! Call me picky but i will not be returning but check it out for yourself, you might like it I didn’t.

Placed a take out order for breakfast. Wait time was estimated 25-30 min which was fine, I got there and had to wait an additional 30 min. Food was not hot nor even warm. My husband’s bagel wasn’t even toasted and ice cold! Staff look very frazzled and no one seemed to know what was going on. Not impressed and it definitely wasn’t worth almost $60

What a great spot to visit for brunch if you’re visiting PA and it’s a plus that it’s kid friendly!! The owner did a great job renovating and we loved how the menu had a little bit of everything to chose from. What a great addition to Lewistown! My daughter can’t wait to go back for the unicorn waffles!
